How to use Lonsdor K518 PRO to Program BYD Destroyer 05 Smart key

This post will guide you on how to use Lonsdor K518 PRO to program a 2023 BYD Destroyer 05 smart key.

The tools we need:
An original key
A new key
K518 PRO

Procedure:

Note: When we make the key of this car, all the keys, including the original car key and the new key, need to participate in programming.

Now, we use K518PRO to program the key.
Select [IMMO] >> [BYD] >> [Smart Key programming] >> [Destroyer 05].

Step 1. Read the key information.
Place the original car key in the sensing area, and click "OK" to continue.
The number of keys is 1.

Step 2. Program the key.
Now, we do the key programming.
The current number of keys is 1.
Place the key to be programmed on the induction coil, We just did it.
Click "OK" to continue.
Programming success.

Whether to program the next one? Here, we select "OK".
Then, take out the original key and put the new key in.
Matching in progress; please wait...
Programming success.
Whether to program the next one?
We choose "Cancel", and the number of successfully programmed keys is 2.

Let's test whether the two keys can be remotely controlled normally.

OBDSTAR MT203 Geteway Simulation & CAN Drive Function Demo

Today we'll demonstrate the function of OBDSTAR MT203 CAN Driver/Gateway Simulator. OBDSTAR MT203 allows us to diagnose modules individually on a workbench, eliminating the need to connect to the original vehicle gateway or reinstall the module back into the vehicle. It is versatile and can handle multiple ECUs, perform diagnostics, and read fault codes.

Kia Sorento Instrument Gateway Simulation

Connect the power supply and the ECU, and then connect the Bluetooth connector.

There are gateway and CAN drive functions on OBDSTAR MT203.
The gateway function supports automatic scanning of standard CAN and fault-tolerant CAN. But does not support automatic identification of CAN FD. Users can manually select standard CAN, fault-tolerant CAN, CAN FD, etc.

Common baud rates are available for quick selection. If don't have one, the custom baud rates can be set. The diagnostic tool defaults to 500K.

This 2020 Kia Sorento instrument uses the CAN FD protocol.
So find the protocol and select 2M baud rate.
The cycling of the 3 dots indicates a successful simulation.

You can now use diagnostic tools like LAUNCH X431 to read ECU information and fault codes, enabling off-vehicle module diagnostics.

Mitsubishi airbag ECU Gateway Simulation
The Mitsubishi airbag ECU uses fault-tolerant CAN, which can be manually selected or automatically recognized.
Press "ENT" to scan automatically, and the scanned ECU is 83K.
The cycling of the 3 dots indicates a successful simulation.

You can now use the diagnostic tool to diagnose the airbag and read fault codes, etc.

If the automatic identification fails, manually select fault-tolerant CAN and choose from common baud rates.
If don't match, select custom settings while keeping the diagnostic tool at 500K, and setting the ECU to 83K.
Press "ENT" and proceed to read fault codes for module diagnosis.

CAN Drive Function
Besides gateway simulation, there's also a CAN drive function to test common modules like gear lever, radio, air conditioning, and EBA system.

This function works in conjunction with the OBDSTAR app where communication definitions for these modules can be found.

How to do cutting calibration for 2m2 Tank 2 Pro

This post shows you how to do cutting calibration for a 2m2 Tank CNC Key cutting machine.

1. Connect the machine by Bluetooth.
Turn on the Bluetooth switch, then click search again.
Click "Bluetooth number".
The Bluetooth connection is OK.
The green color is a successful connection.

2. Cutting calibration
Click [Device Information] >> [Cutting calibration].
Please confirm the cutter is 2.0mm on the machine.

We followed the instructions in the APP and used the HON 66 key blank to calibrate.
Align the tip with the first line.

Don't remove the key.
Please clean the clamp and then click "OK".

Cutting calibration is finished, when next time for cutting calibration, this key blank can be used again, at least 6 times.

Lonsdor K518 PRO Program 2024 Volvo XC40 Smart Key on Bench

Lonsdor K518 PRO can program a smart key for the 2024 Volvo XC40 on the bench. The procedure is applied to key adding & all keys lost. Now I have 2 keys: a new key and the original key. Let's start to do step by step.

We need to disassemble the CEM and read the data inside.
Follow the operation to connect the CEM module. It's under the steering wheel. Take the box off, it only has 3 ports on it.

We've got the board from the dismantled CEM module.
Solder the wire and then connect to KPROG's Adapter.

Since we haven't updated the XC40 menu of the K518 PRO device, the XC40 program is unavailable for the 2024 model. But the XC60 program works
(Sometimes switching XC40 and XC60 program will work)

Match the board and chip model to solder.
After successfully welding the cables, connect to the KPROG adapter.
Be aware that the connecting cable shouldn't be too long. And plug in the power supply.

Read CEM data >> OK >> Save data file
After saving data, we can go back to add the smart key or all key lost.

Select a method to obtain the security code >> Load CEM module data
Performing this function will delete all the programmed keys. Please prepare all the keys to be programmed.
We got all keys ready, both keys are here.
Click OK.
The current of keys: 2
All keys are currently cleared.
The current of keys: 0

Please place the programming key in the sensing area. For this car, the armrest box is the sensing area. Put the key here, click OK.

The current number of key: 1
Whether to program the next key? Yes.
Just take the first key out and put another key there, click OK.
The current of keys: 2
Program complete.

Let's check whether the key can be used normally.
Lock and unlock OK, start car OK.
Done.

How to Install the cutter and probe of 2M2 Tank 2 Pro

This post will guide you on installing the cutter and probe of the 2m2 tank 2 Pro CNC key cutting machine.

First, connect the machine by Bluetooth.
The green color means the Bluetooth connection is ok.

Click [Device information] >> [Cutting set], choose more options, then select the cutter 2.0MM.
Notice: Do you start the process of changing the cutter?
We click "OK" to continue.

Then we follow the instructions and attach the cutter 2.0 onto the top.
The installation method of probe 1.0 is the same.
We can see the cutter is low and the probe is high.

Click "OK".

The application says to let the probe touch the clamp.
Loosen the screw and pull the probe till touch the clamp.
Installation of cutter and probe is finished.

Lonsdor K518 PRO Program 2021 Honda Civic All Key Lost Success

Now we are using the Lonsdor K518 PRO to program all keys lost for the 2019-2021 Honda Civic by OBD. As we have a new key at hand, let's get started.

Immo & Remote >> Honda >> Select by vehicle >> Asia >> Civic >> 2019-2021 >> Smart Key >> Push-button 47 chip >> All smart keys lost by OBD >> OK

Turn off the ignition.
We've lost all the keys, so we can't turn the ignition on.

Place a key to be programmed in the car, and take other keys out of the car.
Press the Start button twice to see if the car ignition is on.
Now we can't turn the ignition on, click "Cancel".

Press and hold the Start button.
Now the ignition has been turned on, click OK.

Enter the count of keys to be programmed: 1
Is it a new model car after 2020? Yes

Turn off the ignition in 15s.
Turn on the ignition in 15s.
Press the start button twice to turn on the ignition.
Whether the immobilizer light is off? Yes

Turn off the ignition in 15s.
Turn on the ignition again.
K518 Pro shows the current number of key: 1
Click OK.
Please turn off the ignition switch.
Turn on the ignition.

Please check whether each key can be used normally.

Turn off the ignition.
See if the remote control works properly.
Lock and unlock work. The key can start the car.
Done.

Benz HU6 (IC177) Mileage Correction via Yanhua MB YH-OBD Platform

This post will guide you using the Yanhua ACDP and Yanhua Mercedes-Benz HU6 YH-OBD Platform to correct the Benz HU6 ODO Module (IC177) Mileage.

Procedure:

Remove the Benz HU6 instrument module from the car.
Power on the ACDP.
Open ACDP APP.
Confirm in the upper right corner that the ACDP device has been bound
Click [Benz] >> [HU6 ODO Module (IC177) mileage correction] >> [R7F701403(A167/A213/A247)] >> [OBD+ICP reset mileage] >> [Original module (YH platform)].

Step 1: OBD backup data
We can click "Help" to learn how to properly connect ACDP to the Benz HU6 module.
Align the interface board with the instrument interface install it, and push the interface board switch toward the CAN-R.
Click "Step 1: OBD backup data"
Follow the prompts, then check the Total drive mileage and Drive mileage.
Note: VIN and EZS hardware numbers won't show when using the YH OBD platform.
Please save coding data.
Pay attention to the path, date, time, and file name of the file backup.
Click ok, same maintenance data.
OBD backup data finish.

Dismantle the Benz instrument module.
Take out the instrument panel.

Step 2: ICP modify data
Click on the "Help" in Step 2 to learn how to properly connect the ACDP to the device.
Click "Step 2: ICP modify data".
Follow the prompts, then verify the system info.
Save the chip data.
Writing chip data, please wait...
Modify odometer data finish.

Step 3: OBD modify mileage
We can click "Help" to learn how to properly connect ACDP to the Benz HU6 module.
Click "Step 3: OBD modify mileage".
Follow the prompts, then check the Total drive mileage and Drive mileage to see if they have been reset to zero.
Click ok to select coding data.
According to the data and time, select the coding data ending with "Coding".
Click on the mileage number, enter the mileage number, and click to continue.
Check the repaired mileage data.
Install the Benz HU6 instrument module into the car, and check if the mileage displayed on the instrument panel is normal.

This mainly depends on the type of instrument circuit board. Yanhua Mini ACDP2 + Module 34 can support to do mileage adjustment for D70F3423, D70F3426, RH850 R7F71401/1402/1407 5A, R7F71401/1402/1404/1406/1407 5C.

How do you identify the instrument dashboard?
VW MQB IMMO(ODO) >> MQB48/49 ODO - Method 2(R7F7014xx 5A/5C/5D) >> OBD identify(UDS)

In this case, the 2020 VW Tiguan A2C03036600 is an R7F701407 dashboard. So it's supported.

Autel IM508S Program 2020 Toyota Fortuner All Keys Lost

Today I will show how to program the 2018-2020 Toyota Fortuner with all keys lost with AUTEL MaxiIM IM508S by OBD. The procedure is applied to AUTEL MaxiIM IM608 PRO II as well.

1. Back IMMO Data
IMMO >> Toyota >> Manual selection >> Europe >> FORTUNER/HILUX SW4 >> Smart Key >> Yes >> Control unit >> Keyless System(CAN) >> Back up IMMO data >> Back up IMMO data(OBD)

Ensure that the device's network connection is good.
Turn the ignition off, and turn the hazard warning lamps on and off once.

This function is used to back up the EEPROM data of the vehicle's smart box. The data can be used to generate the simulator key for the emergency start of the vehicle to perform the key-matching function.
Press OK.

Backup succeed.

2. Add Smart Key
Click "Add smart key".

How to do an Actuation Test on Higer with LAUNCH X431 PAD5?

This is a step-by-step tutorial on doing an actuation test with the LAUNCH X431 PAD5 Elite + HD3 Module. Here we're testing on Higer as an example.

Local Dignosis >> Higer >> OK >> Engine System >> BOSCH Identification >> BOSCH System self-identification >> Select the corresponding option: YuChai P1382 EDC17CV44 >> OK >> Actuation Test >> Engine Speed Test

Note: Please check that the following conditions are me
T15 power on.
Vehicle speed is 0.
No relevant fault code exists.
Gear engaged at P or N.
Handbrake applied.
Click "Continue".

Now we can view the dashboard RPM changes.
Click "Open", then "Close".
The operation on X431 PAD V was successful.

The dashboard tachometer is interrupted during the rev test and the actual vehicle will have a noticeable rev boost.
