SCRIPT - MYSTERY - THRILLER '' SCENARIO - PACKAGE '' - The second anthology

SCENE 2:
(Mr. Jeronimo, Verona's father is sitting in his office and taking notes. Secretary Wilma enters)

VILMA: Mr. Jeronimo, Mr. Miguelo is looking for you!

MR. JERONIMO: (He looks up from the paper on which he wrote something, then nods)
All right, let him in.
(Miguelo, Mexican director of a department store and other companies, enters the office)

MIGUELO:Mr. Jeronimo, how nice to see you!
(He enters the office, Vilma closes the door. The two look at each other for a few moments. Miguelo looks at the table where the documents, writings, a picture of Jerome's late wife and a picture of Jeronimo's daughter Verona are)

MR. JERONIMO:Yes, yes, Miguel. Have a seat.
(Miguelo sits down and watches him. Jeronimo finishes signing. He puts down the ballpoint pen. The two men look at each other for a few moments)
Tell me, what brings you here to me?

MIGUELO: I don’t want to go around too much, yet we are business people.

MR. JERONIMO: (He watches him, then nods calmly)
Yes that is right.

MIGUELO: You, you know, that I was working on a significant project to expand my business from Mexico all the way to Texas and Florida.

MR. JERONIMO: You mean working with department stores?

MIGUEO: Yes. I managed to expand my business with department stores, which I had in Mexico City, Guadalajara, Acapulco, Can Cun all the way to Miami, Tampa, Dallas. I admit that it was not easy at all.

MR. JERONIMO: No, of course not.

MIGUELO: And of course, I can say that I would not have succeeded in my plan and in that idea if it were not for you, Mr. Jeronimo. And your generous help!

MR. JERONIMO: I understand you Miguel, but first of all you have to look at it this way. It's just money.

MIGUELO: Yes, I understand you and that's the problem.

MR. JERONIMO: In cash?
(he raises his eyebrows questioningly)

MIGUELO: No, but in that I can't give you your money back this year.

MR. JERONIMO: But how not? Haven't we signed some documents, some contracts, something that says there is a time frame for a refund?

MIGUELO: Yes, it is. But I don't think I can give you my money back now. First of all, that money is currently being invested in my new department store, which is yet to open in Arizona, and no matter how I look at it, if I withdrew the money, I would be in a really big loss. That would mean the collapse of one part of some of my small empire, and that is something that, I must admit, I am not even ready to face.
(Mr. Jeronimo watches him, it can be seen that Jeronimo is a bit serious and angry. He presses the button under the table, which was a sign of alarm and that the bodyguards should come to the office)
