How to use Xhorse VVDI PROG to repair BMW Mini Cooper FRM3 XEQ384? This is a quick guide on bench to show how it works. Need to solder wires with MC9S12 Reflash Cable.

Preparation
Remove FRM3 module from vehicle.

Open VVDI PROG software to select options:
Type: 8-OTHER
Brand: BMW
Chip: FRM-E-SERIES-XEQ384

To check wiring connection, click "Connection diagram".
Solder MC9S12 Cable to FRM3 according to instruction, and connect to VVDI PROG.

Read & Save Data
Change VVDI PROG software options:
Type: 2-MCU
Brand: MOTOROLA-MC9S12
Chip: MC9S12XEQ384_UNSECURED

Click "Read ID".
ID: C482
Click "New >> Read >> Yes >> OK".
Operation success.
Save D-FLASH file.
Write D-FLASH to new EEPROM.







Write Data
Select back
Type: 8-OTHER
Brand: BMW
Chip: FRM-E-SERIES-XEQ384

Click "Read ID".
ID: C482
Click "Write Partition >> Yes >> EEE: 16, OK".
Operation success.

Click "Open" to load new EEPROM.
Click "Write >> Yes".
Writing success.
Done.







Repair BMW Mini Cooper FRM3 XEQ384 successfully.

How to use Xhorse Dolphin 2 key cutting machine to cut a VW HU66 key when all keys lost? Only to find the key code stamped on car lock, it's 0292.

All key lost >> Volkswagen >> Enter key codes: 0292 >> HU66
Follow the prompts to install M5 clamp, rotate to side B.
Fix the key blank shoulder align clamp.










OK >> Cut key >> Cut
Dolphin XP005L machine starts cutting the first side...
Clean the chips and flip over the key when cutting finished.
Cut key >> Cut
Dolphin XP005L proceeded to cut again...
Wait until cutting completed. Actually very quick.

I'm going to test the key and make sure it works.
It can open the lock.
Key cutting is successful.

This is the first time I test the new Xhorse Dolphin XP005L automatic machine. It’s the Dolphin II series. It’s got a touch screen about the same size of a mobile phone. It does have a blue light when we look down below.

I don’t like the blue light. So I’ll go into settings to change the light:
System >> Machine parameter >> Cutting setting >> LED status >> White >> Save
Now it has actually changed to white color.

Next I’m gonna test a Honda key. Go to
Universal duplication >> 4 track external >> Tip align

I really like the vise on here it clamps up nicely, it's got a support mechanism underneath. After installing the Honda key on clamp, click “Decode key”.

The Dolphin 2 machine will start decoding...
Just put down the cover and wait.

Nice and smooth, everything runs very smoothly on Dolphin XP005L. This is also battery operated, so you can run it off the battery. Very lightweight as well. It’s a big impression that it’s got a nice tray underneath to collect debris. But what I really like is the clear screen on tablet.






Take out the key when decoded.
Dolphin II shows a picture on the screen of what the key looks like, which is right. It’s certainly not a work of art but will give you an idea.

Put & fix a blank key on M5 clamp, click “Cut key”.
Dolphin XP005L will start cutting...
Remember to put down the cover to prevent spattering.

I actually really love this Xhorse Dolphin touchscreen, which is a big improvement. On some Key Cutting Machines that come out early with touch screens do not work very well. This touchscreen is very straightforward and easy to use. I love there’s a percentage at the top here when cutting.

It’s very quick. First side finished.
We can see there’s a nice smooth cut on the key.
