Xhorse Dolphin XP005 Battery Test is necessary when it won’t turn on after pressing the power button.

Attention: please recharge it for one hour or more

Step 1.Remove 4 Screw two side of base, then remove base armrest



Step 2.Put device on it’s one side, remove the screw marked on picture, remove base

Remove the screw and unplug 3 connector, remember it original place(better take photo before unplug it), when you install need plug it as original


Remove battery, Short-circuit the two pins of the start switch, and use a multimeter to measure the two pins of the output terminal. If there is no 24V voltage output, the battery does not store electricity and needs to be replaced

Just got new model Xhorse Dolphin XP005L Key Cutting Machine recently. Find bitting codes when all key lost is the one feature I was most pleased with. I can fill in a quick code to easily find out key type. Following I’m gonna show how to do.

Taking this 1410 key number as an example. I was looking for this key many times, but they were not accurate. Let’s try on this machine.

This key is a Hyundai Kefico, I will enter into B1410.
All key lost >> Hyundai >> B1410
Dolphin XP005L is giving several key types for selection.
It seems to be HYN15.
HYN15 >> OK

As you can see, Dolphin II shows me all key bitting codes here: 24233211
Compare to the original one. It’s same!
It should be the correct one I selected.

Once confirmed, I can also cut key here directly.

Prog >> Immo >> VOLVO >> Other >> CEM1(R5F64525) >> Read >> IMMO DATA >> Begin >> Continue
Key Tool Plus starts reading...
Save CEM data file once reading 100%.




2. Read KVM
Connect VOLVO XDNP27 Adapter, KVM module &VVDI Key Tool Plus.
Prog >> VOLVO >> Other >> Adapter >> KVM(MC9S12DG256) >> Read >> IMMO DATA >> Begin >> Continue
Save KVM data file.




Program Key on Vehicle
Reinstall CEM & KVM module back to vehicle.
Connect VVDI Key Tool Plus with OBD2 port, press
IMMO programming >> VOLVO >> XC60 >> 2009-2018 >> Smart key system >> Adds smart keys >> Yes >> Load CEM file >> Yes >> Load KVM data

Click START button once.
VIN was read out.
The current number of keys: 2

Insert the new key to be programmed into key slot.
Take other keys out of the car 1 meter!

Remove the key from key slot, click UNLOCK button once.
(If the car does not response, try several times).

Program success.
Test the keys.
Both original key and new key are workable.
Done!

Question: used Xhorse VVDI Key Tool Plus to program Land Cruiser 2017 with all keys lost, got error message ” Anti-theft box unlocking failed…”.

Solved Finally!
Connect one extra Xhorse Toyota 8A Non-smart Key Adapter (shown as below images), It will succeed.
Then it prompts:
1. Remove the 8A all key lost adapter from the car, restore the original vehicle connection mode.
2. Generated main key successfully! this key is the main key and can start the vehicle directly.
3. Please use Add Key function to add other keys!
