Problem: Why did my Xhorse VVDI Key Tool Max Pro fail to generate the "5801 KeylessGo 4D 314.35 FSK" and "Legacy(2020-2022) 7000 ID8A 433M" remotes? Both prompted: "This option does not currently support XM38 Universal Remote".

What's the problem? Please advise.

Solution
The issue is that the customer is using the wrong XM38 smart key. As the option "5801 KeylessGo 4D 314.35 FSK" is required, it only supports XM28 TOYOTA or XM38 Toyota Smart Key.

As for the XM38 Universal Smart Key, we can find the supported remote option to generate.

Problem: The XHORSE DOLPHIN XP-005 could not decode the original key when I selected the HU100 option. The machine stopped and gave the prompt: "Error code: 2, probe not detected. Please do the following steps:
1. Check the clamp position is correct;
2. Check the key insert properly, no chips"

Solution

The image provided shows that the key is clamped in the wrong groove. Remove the key up to the 1st step as a diagram, and the problem can be solved.

Xhorse MLB Tool supports adding keys for Audi, Porsche, VW, Lamborghini, Bentley, and other MLB vehicle models. It can work either independently with Xhorse VVDI Key Tool Plus or in conjunction with VVDI2 and PC software. Here we'll show how to add Audi A4L smart key with Key Tool Plus + MLB Tool.

Preparation
1. Connect MLB-TOOL to Key Tool Plus.
lThe short USB(OTG) cable should be connected to Key Tool Plus while the long USB A to C cable needs to be connected to MLB-TOOL.
lFailure to do so may result in communication issues.

2. Place the original car key in the key identification area of MLB-TOOL.

Operation
Immo programming >> Audi >> Select by type >> MLB immobilizer systems >> Start programming

This function needs to be connected to the network, please make sure that the network connection is normal. Click OK to continue.

1. Identification Key
Please put the key in the device identification area, and click OK for identification.
Key info has been read.


2. Connect MLB-TOOL
Connection diagram >> Type3 Audi/Bentley
Refer to the diagram to remove components and solder the cable.
Place the key with the MLB cable connected in the MLB-TOOL key identification area.

Tip: note that the TOP side needs to face upwards.



3. Collect Key Data
Detected that the device does not read the vehicle information data, continue to acquire data to save and the immo file will not contain vehicle information.
Click Yes to start the acquisition.

* It's recommended to read the vehicle information first. This way, the calculated immo file will contain all the IDs of the original vehicle keys.

Please select the method of data collection.
Attention: Using an OEM key will allow you to calculate the data free of charge points, and each OEM key can only be used to calculate the data once.
* The OEM key here is the VVDI MLB specialized key. Using the VVDI MLB specialized key allows you to calculate the data free of charge points, and each specialized key can only be used to calculate the data once.

Select "No OEM key".
This calculation will deduct 200 remote points.

For acquiring data, please put the key in the key identification area of the MLB device.
The server calculation is successful! Please put the key into the MLB device identification area. Click OK for verification.

Click OK to save the VVDI-MLB immo data.

4. Make Dealer Key
Click OK to start loading the saved VVDI-MLB immo data.
Please insert the new key into the key identification area of the VVDI-MLB device, and click OK to continue.

5. Key Learn
Perform key learning operations on the vehicle.
Turn on the ignition switch.
Connect the vehicle to Key Tool Plus.
Place the key close to the induction area.

Turn off the air conditioning and open the engine compartment cover before programming the key!
Please input the number of keys to be learned: 2
This type needs to load the immo data to the program, click OK to load the data.

Number of learned/ total number of learning keys: 0/2 -> 1/2
Please keep key 1 close to the sensing coil, and click OK.
Warning: Before learning is completed, please do not turn off the ignition(Do not press the start button)!!!

Hello you guys! This is a door lock removed from the 2014 Lexus IS250. We're making the emergency key, a single-sided cut key with Xhorse Dolphin XP-005 machine. The key code on the lock is 88737.

My key book, says the 2014 IS250 code series is between 80000-89999. So our key code 88737 is correct. It's A8 cut, converts 1233, 3131.

This is a single-sided key and opens the lock one way. So we're using our little shim to level it up when key cutting. In this way, the Dolphin XP005 probe can read the key. Cause if it doesn't have a shim underneath it or it's not higher, Xhorse Dolphin will give you an error code.

We're using Clamp M2 on side A. The shim should be put to the tip.
Put the key right on the top of the shim, then tighten it.


As you can see, the Dolphin probe can read and cut the key successfully.

That's how easy it is to cut a 2014 Lexus IS250 single-side emergency blade.
If you have that shim, it'll make your job more easier. But if not, try to eyeball it or make your shim.

Test the new key, it opens the lock.
Easy done.
