Operna pjevačica Katherine Jenkis - za koju je već od prije poznato da uvijek sluša Kyliene najveće hitove prije svojih nastupa - otkrila je kako joj je san da snimi duet s Kylie!
Classical singer Katherine Jenkins has revealed hopes to team up with Kylie Minogue for a pop-opera duet.
The Welsh mezzo-soprano has drawn inspiration from pop and even hip hop for her upcoming album, on which she has been working with music producer David Foster in Los Angeles.
Now, she says, a duet with Aussie sensation Kylie would complete the dream. “Everyone knows I listen to Kylie’s greatest hits before I go out on stage. It’s just become part of my thing. Because I’m superstitious I can’t not do it now. I just love her,” Katherine, 28, told us at the Classical Brits, where she dazzled in three glamorous outfits including a pink jewel-encrusted number.
“I met her when we did the X Factor and she was so sweet. She came into my dressing room and we had a bit of a giggle. I’d love to sing with her. I didn’t ask at the time but, you know, we’ll see .”
Katherine, who was joined by 40 members of her family at the glitzy ceremony, stole the show with her sublime rendition of A Mother’s Wonderment with Placido Domingo.
Despite spending much of the year in America, having signed a reported Ł5.8million deal with Warner Music last October, she insists she’s still a valleys girl at heart.
“I’ve been staying right by the beach and when you get up and it’s sunny all you want to do is be outside. But don’t worry. I’m not going to get all skinny like so many of the stars out there,” she vows. “I do still love my food. I promise!”
