Nisam znala šta je bilo u Aninoj krvi, ali u ovom trenutku nisam niti mogla razmišljati. Sve oko mene najednom se počelo vrtjeti, gubila sam tlo pod nogama, nisam imala orijentaciju, a kapci su mi bili sve teži i teži. No usprkos svemu tomu željela sam otići što dalje od nje. Osjećala sam da je u njoj nešto šta bi me moglo ubiti...
Raširila sam krila i poletjela visoko u zrak. Lelujala sam malo lijevo-desno, malo gore-dolje. Iako nisam bila svjesna šta se događa oko mene, čula sam kako me dozivala. Pogledala sam ispod sebe i pogledom ju tražila po mračnim ulicama Transilvanije. Ali nje nije nigdje bilo. Na trenutak sam pomislila da mi se samo pričinjava, ali onda opet, zvuk njenog glasa. Nisam više mogla letjeti, bila sam previše nemoćna. Odlučila sam se spustiti na zemlju dok sam još koliko-toliko bila svjesna. Ali nisam više mogla zamahivati svojim krilima. I prvi puta u svome vampirskom životu, ja se prepuštam i padam...
I onda najednom BOOOM!!!!!! Glasan zvuk mog pada na pod. Glavo sam lupila u zemlju i osjetila kako mi krv navire iz glave.
Oko mene se stvorila malena crvena lokvica krvi. Tako sam ja uvijek ostavljala svoje žrtve-na podu, s tupim pogledom u prazno i lokvicom krvi oko njihovog beživotnog tijela. Bila sam poput njih. Razmišljala sam o svom životu i tada mi je glavom prošlo pitanje:
*Zar će ovako završiti moj besmrtni život? Zar sam to zaslužila?
I dok sam tako razmišljajući gledala u zvijezdano nebo i puni Mjesec, ispred mene se pojavilo neko biće. Nisam mu se mogla usprotiviti ni da sam htjela. Zato sam bespomoćno ležala i gledala ga.
*Ana! Dolazi ovdje! Našla sam ju! To je ona, sigurna sam!-govorilo je nepoznato biće
Tada je došla Ana, nagnula se nad moje tijelo i počela nešto pričati s tom drugom osobom.
*Moramo ju odvesti u bolnicu!-reklo je nepoznato biće
*Ne, ne možemo ju odvesti u bolnicu! Ne smijemo!-odvratila je Ana
*Šta si ti normalna?! Zar želiš da umre ovdje?!
*Pa ne,ali...-zastala je i pogledala me
Sada je Ana znala šta sam ja u stvari i zato me nije željela odvesti u bolnicu.
*No,Ana? Vodimo ju u bolnicu ili šta?
Šutila je...
*Ana! Reci mi! Zašto ju ne smijemo odvesti u bolnicu?!
Ana me još uvijek gledala i šutila...
Zadnjim naporima snage digla sam glavu i prošaptala...
*Nemoj joj reći...Ne smiješ nas odati...-i zatim sam klonula
Nakon toga se nisam sjećala više ničega.
Bila sam uvjerena da sam zaspala i da je sve to samo ružan san.
Ali onda sam se probudila...
Polako sam otvorila oči...Aaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!! Svjetlost!!!!!!!!!!
