Weekend and Recovery

Well...over the weekend, I made it up to see baby Ava and she is doing pretty well. She is already up to 4 lbs. 7 oz. and she is up to eating 15 cc's of milk each feeding (from 5 a week ago.) She is still tiny and not quite "out of the woods", but she is doing remarkably well for her age.Big sister got to come home on Saturday after 25 days in the hospital. She is healing, slowly but surely, but it has been hard for her to leave Ava at the hospital (understandably so!) I hope she will settle into a schedule, and I suspect things will get easier from there.Grandma is staying with them for the week to try to get everything back in order at home. E is adjusting to having Mom home again and Dad is adjusting to having her there, but not really able to do much. I have to admit, the weekend was incredibly exhausting, but I was glad to help. Even though sleep was definately lacking.Here comes the sigh...I think I'm getting sick again. I have felt achey and headachy all day. My throat's a little sore and my ear hurts. Awesome. At least I got my book read and lesson done for this week, tonight. One less thing to worry about. (Side note: If you are interesting in reading a "turn-of-the-century uptopian novel...check out Edward Bellamy's "Looking Backward." It's actually a pretty good read. I enjoyed it much more than "Animal Farm" by Orwell.)For those of you who will undoubtedly ask, since Steve put the new pieces in the computer last week, our scanner hasn't been working. I will get new pictures of Ava and Elliott up as soon as I can. :-)
