The Wine: Gordon Brothers Merlot 1999Appellation: Snake River, Columbia ValleyColor: A deep, rich core of purple, with just a hint of light mahogany towards the edge.Nose: Dark flowers and perfume, blueberry and spice.Body: Full and softTastes of chocolate and dark berry fruits, with a bit of black cherry and vanilla on the finish. Long and lingering, rich and full.Rating: Damn good.Mmmm.... wine. To steal a line from Ben Franklin - Wine is the only proof we have that God exists and He wants us to be happy.And to steal a line from our Fearless Leader - Mission Accomplished, God.
