J.J. Cale - Collected (3CD Remaster Set 2006)
Three CD collection by the influential Blues/Rock great best known for writing 'After Midnight' and 'Cocaine', two tracks that Eric Clapton brought to the masses with successful cover versions. Cale's own recordings are rootsy, laid-back affairs that are exciting, spine-tingling and filled with rough world-weary honesty. 60 tracks including the original versions of the afore-mentioned tracks plus many more including live tracks and radio essions.
Anybody who hasn't heard of JJ Cale MUST buy his first solo album. Absolutely every track on "Naturally" is a gem. For all others, this remastered compilation from Australia "Collected" is a decent buy. It does have most of JJ's best tracks and it even has a handful of previously unreleased live tracks...D.
