Warren Zevon - Wanted Dead or Alive (1969) (2003)
The first Zevon album certainly sounds like it. Containing some of the fire that was to shine on releases to come, Wanted Dead or Alive shows Zevon as a bluesy singer-songwriter trying to find a voice in the L.A. scene. Of note is his version of "Iko-Iko," done dancehall style, and his own "Hitch-Hikin' Woman." Of note for the curious. ~ James Chrispell
