A LITTLE BIT OF ENGLISH... "ŠIBENIK"

It was nice spring afternoon and people were walking around with their children eating ice cream. Butterflies were flying and the birds were singing. Sun was shining so hard that you had feeling it's June or July. One little girl was walking with her mom and dog and suddenly started to cry because she tripped over down the stone stairs near the sea. Luckly everything went without consequences because her mom hugged her and bought her a new ice cream. She started to cuddle her little, white, playful dog and put her little hand in mother's. It was enough for her to be happy again. They started to walk toward the swings and disappeared into the crowd of people. In the air you could smell the sea and blooming flowers. You saw on people that they were happy beacause spring finally came in their town.

Small town located in centar Dalmatia finally revived! People there are very nice and kind unless it's rainy day or winter, then they are not so kind because there are no events they can visit or places they can go and enjoy. Every day you can see people walking along the coast with their friends or family. But they mostly spend their days drinking coffee in cafes on the waterfront. They are famous for doing nothing J The smile on the faces of passers-by and the church bells gives some special atmosphere. Children are always happy, they run around, scream and rush in the school. Old people on the market sale various fruits and vagatables and enjoy in it. After that they usually sit on the benches and watch the sky while the waves crash against the rocks. They tried to every picture, every movement and sound notch in their memories so they can revived it whenever they want.

Everything in the town is built with rocks and it's one of the reasons why it attracts tourists from all over the world. Šibenik is town with about 35 000 residents and is a well known as a town that was founded by Croats unlike other cities along the Adriatic coast. It is very famouse for its four fortress: St. Nicholas Fortress, Fortress St. Mihovil, Fortress St. Ivan and Fortress Šubićevac. The central church in Šibenik is the Catedral of St. James and since 2000 the Catedral has been on the UNESCO World Heritage list. This church is most important architectural monument of the Renaissance in the entire country. International Children's Festival takes place every summer where children can play with each other, watch various puppet and theater performances and learn lot of useful things.

All in all it is a city that has a soul and where people are really, really happy. :)
