Nakon debi albuma "Grace" objavljenog 1994. godine, Džefa Baklija su muzički kritilčari smatrali jednim od najzanimljivijih umetnika svoje generacije. 2007. godine biće desetogodišnjica Džefove smrti. Laurie Anderson otvara BELEF

Slavna američka muzičarka i umetnica, muza njujorške art rock scene iz 70-ih, otvoriće ovogodišnji Belef festival (10.07. - Dom Sindikata 21h) u okviru svoje turneje pod nazivom Songs and stories. Ove godine se u celom svetu, pa i u Beogradu, obeležava 150 godina rođenja Nikole Tesle, čiji je rad predstavljao glavnu inspiraciju za njenu pesmu "Like A Stream". Njen nastup je istovremeno i glavni međunarodni muzički događaj u sklopu obeležavanja godišnjice Nikole Tesle u Beogradu. Takođe, Laurie Anderson se pojavljuje i filmu The Prestige u kome Teslu igra David Bowie, ali i interaktivnom filmu zagrebačke umetnice Helene Bulaje o čuvenom pronalazaču i naučniku. Laurie Anderson se smatra jednom od najznačajnijih umetnica na polju moderne popularne muzičko-scenske umetnosti 20. veka. Njen samostalni početak bavljenja muzikom desio se 1982. godine kada se proslavila nesvakidašnjim hitom "Oh Supreman". Tony Allen "Lagos No Shaking" Album

One of the godfathers of Afrobeat, Fela's longtime drummer Tony Allen returns to reclaim his territory on June 13th, with a new album "Lagos No Shaking." Tony Allen played drums in Fela Kuti's bands between 1964 and 1978, contributing a vital element to Afrobeat's evolution. And while he's been active as a bandleader for nearly three decades, Allen's presence has intensified during the last five years. Allen formed his own group, recording No Discrimination in 1980, and performing in Lagos until emigrating to London in 1984. Later moving to Paris, Allen recorded with King Sunny Ade, Ray Lema, & Manu Dibango. Allen recorded “N.E.P.A.” in 1985. Post-Fela, Allen developed a hybrid sound, deconstructing & fusing Afrobeat with electronica, dub, R&B, and rap. Allen refers to this synthesis as, "Afrofunk". Tony Allen returns with a much anticipated new project for his thirteenth release. Recorded live in Lagos, with a full-sized Afrobeat band, "Lagos No Shaking" (Lagos is OK), signifies Allen's return to roots Afrobeat after forays into avant-garde electronica hybrids. "Lagos No Shaking" is due to be released on June 13, 2006. Described by Brian Eno as 'perhaps the greatest drummer who has ever lived'.
