Fortnite: Cube Gets DESTROYED, New Map Location, Shock Butterfly Reveal
ponedjeljak , 26.11.2018.FORTNITE EVENT - UPDATE: The Fortnite cube event has just taken place in Battle Royale - and it was pretty spectacular.
Fortnite players gathered around Kevin the cube to see if the beloved purple object would meet its untimely end.
The Fortnite cube did end up getting destroyed in the event - cracking and then emitting a huge bright, white light that filled a player’s screen.
Fortnite players were then transported to mysterious, other dimensions where there was a rift in the sky that transformed into a butterfly.
The camera then panned to a cutscene where the player's character touched the butterfly and was then transported back to the Battle Royale map.
There they dived back towards Leaky Lake, with Kevin the cube no longer there - replaced with a brand new location on the Fortnite map.

FORTNITE EVENT - UPDATE THREE: The Fortnitemares Finale is drawing near with something big about to happen to the Fortnite cube.
When players log into Battle Royale they’re being greeted with the message that the Fortnite cube is “unstable” ahead of the major live event starting.
The Fortnite Twitter has also warned players to log in early and be in a match before the start time to witness the one-time live event.
It’s expected that the Fortnite cube will be destroyed in the event, with Kevin making way for a ‘Butterfly’ and a brand new map point of interest.

After the Fortnite cube started cracking and dropping fragments into Leaky Lake it has now started pulsating.
The Fortnite cube has also appeared to shed a layer on the outside to reveal a more raw looking form of Kevin, according to the @FortniteBR Twitter.
As fans gear up for the upcoming Fortnite live event, believed to be called the Fortnitemares Finale, Battle Royale players have been dealt some good news.

Epic Games has already announced that the Fortnite in-game live event can only be watched in a match - not in the Playground mode.
It was feared this could lead to opportunistic players attacking others while a ceasefire was being held to watch the event.
But according to leaker @Siloxleaks, in-game files for Fortnitemares suggests weapons may be disabled for the upcoming Fortnite event.
They tweeted: “So, Deimos (Fortnitemares) may have inputs disabled such as weapons, so it may not be possible to kill other players during the event!”
The Fortnite live event kicks off at 1 pm eastern time today, which is 6 pm GMT in the UK.

Madden 19 Review
ponedjeljak , 19.11.2018.What works: The “real player motion” promised in the game really does feel great after taking some time getting used to it. It’s still not a perfect simulation of football, but what I initially perceived as a more difficult game was actually a better-defined set of rules around its gameplay that is the most rewarding and true-to-life the franchise has ever offered. EA Sports has propped up nothing-features with fancy names in the past (remember vision cones?), but there’s a lot more meat on the bone with this one.
There are still many animations that you will see over and over, but the collision and responsiveness feels better than ever. During my time playing the game, I have experienced the occasional glitch when running the ball too close to my own teammates, and there are still troubling bugs with specific plays (such as the infamous fake FB handoff to HB toss, where the quarterback starts the animation, then stops and stands there waiting to be sacked). But they seem to happen a lot less than they did in Madden NFL 18.
Changes to gameplay include a heavier focus on finding the hole as a running back, with indicators letting you know if you did it well or not, and a larger focus on individual 1-on-1 interactions.
As a run defender, you can now press either bumper while engaged with a blocker to reach in a direction to make a tackle without fully shedding said blocker. As a receiver, there is a big focus on moves directly before and after catching the football, with the “real player motion” really shining in these interactions. Good players have better control and awareness of their own body, in particular when making sideline catches on either side of the ball. It works a lot more often than it doesn’t.
Essentially everything else the feel — hitting the gap, spinning around defenders, making interceptions, and having immediate, fluid control over the defender after the fact — is top notch.
What still needs work: Other gameplay-related changes include the ability to influence what kind of celebrations your team has after scoring a touchdown or making a big defensive play. This allows for individual “signature” celebrations as well as team-wide celebrations. The latter brings up an EA Sports transition screen to hide the loading of all the players in the right spots to do those celebrations — but it’s blatantly obvious that’s what it’s doing.
The celebrations were fun and interesting for about two games I played, and now I don’t bother. It’s an area that should be a focus for improving in future games.

A spokesperson from Epic later confirmed the numbers that Park reported, meaning that in just nine months, Fortnite's concurrent player numbers have grown by nearly five million players.
It's hard to overstate what Fortnite's concurrent player count means for developer Epic Games. The studio has watched the game grow at a mind-boggling pace since it launched the battle royale mode for Fortnite, beginning a hotly contested arms race between Epic Games' title and PUBG for genre supremacy. By most metrics, that competition is over now - Fortnite is one of the most popular games in the history of the industry, and PUBG is charging $45 for skins based on a movie released two years ago. Fortnite's concurrent player count quickly inflated this past week after the game finally launched in South Korea, a country famed for its infatuation with competitive esports. Internet cafes are still feasible sources of revenue for business owners, too, and a report from VG 24/7 revealed that South Korean players were encouraged to play Fortnite at PC Bangs to complete exclusive challenges created to launch the Battle Royale mode. With that kind of marketing push, it's even less surprising that Fortnite has hit the concurrent player total it has.
To put that in context, PUBG still completely dominates the Steam concurrent player totals, but Fortnite's numbers are still ahead. While those numbers are a little sketchy because we don't know the player totals from Xbox One and, more importantly, mobile, it's still an impressive showing nonetheless for a game that has really grown into its own over the past nine months. For what it's worth, Fortnite's concurrent player totals are also extremely far ahead of other competitors like Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, showcasing just how big the gap currently is between the cream of the crop in multiplayer shooters and all the other competitors.
It might sound far-fetched, but 8.3 million concurrent players shouldn't be the cap for a game like Fortnite, either. Provided the game maintains its current level of quality and player engagement, it could easily grow even more. Fortnite gets a lot of extra reach thanks to popular streamers like Tyler "Ninja" Blevins, and is, like PUBG, available on mobile. That means Fortnite is at a level of accessibility few other games can aspire to.

Madden 19 Is The Best Football Game Yet
utorak , 13.11.2018.Madden 19's big selling point is its Real Player Motion system. The central gimmick here is that the various players are animated and controlled to move like real people. A juke, dodge, or stiff arm will result in a tangible benefit, not just be a superficial animation. It sounds like hyperbole but it works. There's a noticeable improvement in how players are controlled once they receive the ball and it's so much more rewarding. The difference between a run play resulting in a yard gain or being tackled behind the line is a product of player choice and skill. This is exactly how all Madden games should work.
Control isn't the only area of improvement in Madden 19 either. There's also been an effort to make the presentation of the game much smoother and sleeker. It's all superficial but the menus and interface of Madden 19 are more aesthetically pleasing than its predecessor. The recorded commentary track, which has plagued not only the Madden series but every major sports game, with its staleness has been made more bearable too. It still occasionally feels like that the commentators - Brandon Gaudin and Charles Davis - aren't watching the same game as everyone else but these instances are much rarer than usual. The two often even sound like actual human beings having a conversation, not a collection of robotic clips.
With everything Madden 19 does right, there is one rather significant downside from the previous year. Madden 18 did something very interesting by instituting a cinematic story mode with its own original characters. Titled Longshot, Madden 18's story charted the careers of fictional NFL hopefuls, Devin Wade and his best friend Colt Cruise. The experience was surprisingly emotional and engaging. Devin and Colt were endearing and expertly brought to life by their actors, JR Lemon and Friday Night Lights' Scott Porter, respectively. Devin and Colt return in Madden 19's Longshot, subtitled Homecoming, but they should've just been left alone.
