TOTW Predictions - Week 19

utorak , 19.01.2016.

Now that the excitement of TOTY has now passed we have TOTW worth talking about. cheap coins fifa 16 Aguero, Rooney and Suarez lead the line need I say anymore?

Last weeks score 14/23
Formation: 3-4-2-1
Goalkeeper
Samir Handanovič - GK - 83 OVR
It's not often you will see a keeper included in a game which ended 1-1 from the side expected to win but that is exactly what we have here after Handanovic pulled off several top drawer saves during Inter's 1-1 draw away at Atalanta. He received an impressive 8/10 rating from Gazetta which is what both most secure fifa coin seller Serie A keepers included last week achieved.
Defenders
Cristian Ansaldi - RWB - 79 OVR
Genoa do play some good stuff when at home however I doubt many people could foresee a 4-0 win when they hosted Palermo. Ansaldi who I believe was occupying the RWB poistion helped chip in with three of the four assists. He claimed a 7.5 from Gazzetta which should stand out for a defender.

Robert Huth - CB - 78 OVR
Leicester may have recorded a disappointing 1-1 draw with Villa at the weekend but their mid fifa coin cheap week performance is what I have included Huth for. The big German defender chipped in with the only goal of the game to help Leicester record a 1-0 win over Spurs.

Ashley Williams - CB - 80 OVR
Monday night football made things a lot harder for me when Williams scored the only goal of the game. It resulted in several silver defenders being ignored for the likes of a goal and an assist or two goals including a penalty. This was a big result for Swansea who have been struggling of late.
Midfielders
Christian Eriksen - LM - 83 OVR
Despite the fact that neither of Eriksens goals were particularly convincing he should still pick up a SIF after finding the net twice during Tottenhams 4-1 home win against Sunderland. On the line ups he was LM which is disappointing however there is always that chance that he could be made a CAM.

Hatem Ben Arfa - CAM - 79 OVR
In previous seasons a 2-1 home win for Nice against Angers would not have been that impressive but Angers are having an astonishing season this year and sit in third position. Barfa scored both of the goals from the spot however he claimed the joint highest L'equipe rating with an 8 and thus should make the cut.

Craig Noone - LM - 72 OVR
A lot of championship players have been making it into the starting line up recently and thus I buy cheap fifa coins have gone with Noone who scored twice and assisted another during Cardiff's 3-1 away win against Wolves.

Carlos Sánchez - RM - 76 OVR
The Mexican league IF was a rather controversial one last week but there would be no complaints should Sanchez make the cut this time around. The Uruguayan winger scored twice for his new club Monterrey in their 3-1 away win at Puebla.
Forwards
Sergio Agüero - ST - 87 OVR
When Aguero is playing for City they look twice the side they are without him mainly down to the attacking presence that he contains. He contributed to three of the four Ciy goals scoring twice himself before putting the third on a plate for Silva after option to sweat instead of taking the hat trick.

Wayne Rooney - ST - 86 OVR
Rooney has received a lot of stick throughout this season but can receive nothing but praise for both performances this week. First with two goals and an assist in United's 3-3 draw with Newcastle before scoring the lone goal in a 1-0 win against Liverpool. If Rooney can keep up his form United have a serious chance of the title.

Luis Suárez - ST - 90 OVR
Yet another Suarez IF looks to be on the way after he scored another hat trick for Barcelona this week during their 6-0 demolition of 10 men Bilbao. I know it is a long way away but if he can keep up this form there will be a seriously hard call to make for the TOTY in 2017.
Substitutes
Stéphane Ruffier - GK - 83 OVR
Ruffier played a massive part in Etienne's 1-0 home win against Lyon and deservedly so picked up the MOTM award with an 8/10 from L'equipe. The French keeper made six saves in total in what was a game which Lyon will feel aggrieved to come away with nothing to show.

Kiko Olivas - CB - 70 OVR
Sevral defenders contributed to more than one goal this weekend however not many kept a clean sheet to go alongside it. Kiko however has the upper hand on the other options after scoring twice and keeping a clean sheet for Girona during their 4-0 home win.

Gary Harkins - LM - 67 OVR
There were a fair few SPL options this week so I would be very surprised if they were snubbed altogether but picking which one will be included is a hard task. I have opted for Dundee FC midfielder Harkins who scored twice and assisted another during their 4-2 away win.

James Ward-Prowse - CDM - 74 OVR
Ward-Prowse has shown bags of talent since coming onto the scene with Southmpton but if their was one criticism it was the inability of adding goals to his game. He grabbed two this week however during the saints 3-0 home win against WBA including a beauty of a freekick.

Steve Mounié - ST - 63 OVR
Nimes played out an 8 goal thriller with Clermont on Friday with Nimes coming away as 6-2 winners. Mourie was heavily involved in the win assisting once and scoring three of his own. Pretty straight forward selection really

Abel Hernández - ST - 74 OVR
Let's start by pointing out just how good this IF will be, 92 pace, close to 80 shooting and hes 6ft. He gets his spot in this side for scoring a hat trick for Hull during their massive 6-0 demolition of Charlton.

Andrea Belotti - ST - 71 OVR
Belotti is a bit of a punt considering the amount of mids that I could have selected instead of him but usually when someone receives an 8 from Gazetta they have a fast pass into TOTW. He received his 8 for his two goals during Torino's 4-2 home win against Frosinone.
Reserves
Germán Lux - GK - 76 OVR
Once again Lux is being predicted for an IF. The Deportivo keeper has played outstanding throughout the season and was once again on top of his game. On paper he was not that impressive recording 5 saves in a 1-1 draw however after receiving an 8.5 from Marca he is one which stands out.

Serdar Aziz - CB - 74 OVR
A very nice looking silver IF we have here and he should get in after contributing to three of Bursaspor's goals in a 4-2 home win against Trabzonspor with a goal and two assists to his name. There were a flurry of defensive options however so although it would be very harsh he could miss out still.

Jermain Defoe - ST - 79 OVR
I doubt that you will see Sunderland score four goals in a match again this season but if anyone was going to help them to do that it was going to be Defoe. He scored three of the fours goals during their 4-2 away win against Swansea. Quite close to his previous IF but the gap should be enough.

Paulo Dybala - ST - 78 OVR
Another player which makes my side for consecutive weeks is Dybala for his contribution in all four Juventus goals in a 4-0 away win against Udinese. He both scored and assisted on two occasions in order to help guide 10th consecutive league victory.

Kévin Gameiro - ST - 79 OVR
On a normal week Gameiro would be a certainty for the side but with the sheer amount of options he could undeservedly get the snub. That being said it is not often that a player picks up a 9/10 from Marca so he should make the cut with his brace in Sevilla's 2-1 home win against Malaga.

Alternate TOTY Prediction

četvrtak , 07.01.2016.

Aaron's launched his rather fine looking TOTY Predicition for 2015 and it has most of the big names you'd expect to see. But what if Messi, Ronaldo and Neymar didn't hog the limelight? With that in mind we've pulled together our Alternate TOTY using the same 55 man FIFA short-list you can see here excluding our 'real' predictions. Got it?

There are also a host other players who didn't make the FIFA short-list at all, so hit us up with those suggestions in the comments. cheapest trusted fifa fut coin sellers And who knows, some of these guys may make the final team on January 11th too. If David Luiz can make it, anyone can...
Goalkeepers
GK: David De Gea - Manchester United
Manuel Neuer may indeed be the smart pick for the TOTY, but if the award is judged as it should be. There quite simply hasn't been a bigger contribution by a goalkeeper anywhere, than De Gea's at Man United. Without him, United wouldn't have made the top four last season, and in this one, chepaest fiifa coin site they'd be no where near it either. He has single game highlight reels that would be better than Neuer's year long equivalent.
Defenders
LB: Marcelo - Real Madrid
I'm not going to lie, I have a serious soft spot for Marcelo. It could be his hair, his swashbuckling style, or it could be his innocent "it wasn't me face" after he commits his trademark blatant foul. He's been a stalwart for Real's defence this year and a heavy assist contributor too. You'd be pushed to find a better left back, and that's kind of the point of TOTY really.

CB: David Alaba - Bayern Munich
David Alaba has been a revelation since Pep Guadiola's arrival in Munich, and over the last year he's acquitted himself expertly where ever he's been asked to play. This season he's settled nicely at centre half where his pace, power and passing suit Bayern's style down to the ground. He has a thunder-bastard of fifa 16 coins good a strike on him and at just 23, the world at his feet too. He may not make the cut this time, but he should appear in many a TOTY in the future.

CB: Gerard Pique - Barcelona
Omitted from last year's TOTY and from our prediction this time around too. And that's a pretty raw deal for Gerard Pique who has been absolutely integral to Barcelona's mammoth trophy haul in 2015. One of the best centre backs around, and with an eye for the odd important goal, I'd have him in the main TOTY easily, let alone this alternate version. As I said, if David Luiz can make it...

CB: Diego Godin - Atletico Madrid
Diego Godin is captain consistency, and for that reason he tends to get overlooked when it comes to award time. Not just this year, but the one preceding it too, he's been a rock at the heart of Atletico Madrid's defence and for me, it's about time he got some top level recognition. A true leader of men, who's continued to surpass expectations at Atleti whoever he plays alongside.
Midfielders
CM: Paul Pogba - Juventus
The rise of Paul Pogba has perhaps slowed a touch with Juve's form in the first part of this season, but even so he was truly unstoppable at times in Juventus' Serie A triumph, and Champions League run towards the end of last. He's up against some stiff competition for the midfield three slots and with some of FIFA's "favourite" names in the mix he's unlikely to make the cut however beastly his TOTY would be.

CM: Sergio Busquets - Barcelona
I've voiced this opinion in quite a few posts now, but for me, Sergio Busquets is the best CDM in world football, bar none. And yet, he very rarely gets a look in at TOTY time, despite Barcelona's continual success. He makes the dirty work in midfield seem like a fine art and his mere presence allows Barca's all-star forward line to do what they do best. Without him, Barcelona just don't tick.

CM: Marco Verratti - PSG
Marco Verratti is one of those midfielders I just love to watch. The way he dictates games and drives PSG from midfield is a sight to behold at times and his metronomic pass completion rate of well over 90% for the last 3 seasons is up there with the very, very best. He's likely to suffer the same fate as Pogba, but man, what a TOTY his would be also.
Forwards
LW: Alexis Sanchez - Arsenal
Ever since the miniature, tanned genius arrived at Arsenal he's taken the Premier League by storm. where to buy safest fifa coins Scoring freely and dribbling past more defenders than we can count. But sadly for Alexis Sanchez there is zero chance of a TOTY first eleven appearance due to the forward trio of Ballon d'Or nominees. And that my friends, is very sad indeed.

ST: Robert Lewandowski - Bayern Munich
Along with Suarez, Robert Lewandowski is very much part of the 'next-best' strikers in the world category, and although he wasn't hammering in goals quite as freely in spells last season. He's started this one on fire with 15 goals in 14 starts, including that record breaking 5 goal haul as a substitute. Bayern of course romped to the title, but the Champions League alluded them which doesn't help Robert's chances.

RW: Luis Suarez - Barcelona
If it weren't for the sheer genius of Messi, Neymar and Ronaldo, Luis Suarez would walk in to the TOTY forward role in any other footballing era. He just happens to be caught among a golden generation of absolute superstars, two of which he spends most of his time hugging after their latest goal. 16 goals and 14 assists last season and 15 goals already this campaign. A monster of a modern forward.

Hit the comments with your outside shouts for a TOTY appearance, and anyone you feel should be on FIFA's 55 man short-list.
