Miranda Lambert scores fourth consecutive ACM Female Vocalist prize

Miranda is a true southern lady inside & out. I love her and Blake together. The best part of the show, however, was Dierks Bentley's WAYLON t-shirt! I just wish country music would honor him. Oh, that's right, they aren't quite finished black balling him yet. Doesn't matter. Those of us who love music (especially country music) we know this beloved outlaw deserves one hell of a lot of credit for making music his way, thereby allowing any artist that followed him a chance to make music their way as well.
An emotional Miranda Lambert was just named ACM Female Vocalist of the Year, her third award of the night, and her fourth consecutive win in the category.
In the category, she beat Martina McBride, Kacey Musgraves, Taylor Swift and the artist Lambert herself thought would win, Carrie Underwood.
“I for sure thought Carrie had it this year and she damn well deserves it,” said Lambert.
Lambert had a total of five nominations this year, and won four awards, including Single of the Year, plus two trophies as both the composer and performer on Song of the Year winner “Over You.” She shares the latter award with husband and co-composer Blake Shelton.
Lambert's four awards made her the top winner of the night. She joins Reba McEntire and Loretta Lynn as the only other artists to win Female Vocalist of the Year four or more times.
Miranda Lambert is hands down the best country music songwriter and performer. She should have won Entertainer of the Year as well.
