1. Sarajevo City

Sarajevo is a city in which even strangers can feel at home. Neither geographically expansive nor characterized by large buildings, the city retains a particular, arresting charm with its abundance of busy café's and abiding tradition of hospitality. 2. Old Bridge in Mostar

Mostar is a city in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the center of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton of the Federation. The unofficial capital of Herzegovina, Mostar is situated on the Neretva River and is the fourth-largest city in the country. Stari Most, the Old Bridge with its two towers, was built in 1566 in honour of Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent of the Ottoman Empire. The Old Bridge was the first founding stone of Mostar, a fairy-tale city of poetry and sleepy, narrow and winding streets.

3. Rafting in Tara

The river Tara is one of the most beautiful and most exciting rivers in the Europe. On one's own way 145 km long from mountain Komovi, this river made canyon 88 km long and 1.3 km deep. It is the second world deepest canyon, next after Colorado canyon. Because of her crystal clean water which is drinking water during the whole course of the river and exceptional flora where most of the herbs are endemic, river Tara is on the UNESCO list of protection areas. The river Tara "The Tiers of the Europe" with the marks 3-4 is in the group of most attractive world rivers which give you a unique satisfaction and please. The rafting on Tara River has no equal either in the Europe or in the world.

4. Jahorina Mountain

Jahorina is the mountain range to the southeast of Sarajevo. Its ideal geographical position more or less guarantees three to four months of good ski snow. Its highest peak reaches 1,910m. The ski lifts climb to 1,894m with fabulous views towards Sarajevo. The slopes of Jahorina are covered in tall pines till about the 1,500m mark.

5. Kozara National Park

Kozara was proclaimed a protected national forest in 1967. Situated between the rivers Una, Sava, Sana and Vrbas, these 3,375 hectares of dense forest and hilly meadows have earned the nickname Green Beauty of Krajina. Kozara is a popular hunting ground, with a large 18,000-hectare area of the park open to regulated hunting of deer, pheasants, fox, boars, wild hare, and ducks. A smaller part of the park is designated for nature lovers. Walking, hiking, biking and herb picking are among the many activities in Kozara.

6. Vjetrenica

Vjetrenica which means wind cave or blowhole is the largest and most important cave in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and one of the most interesting caves in the Dinar mountain range, which is famous world wide for its speleological riches. In the warmer parts of the year a strong blast of cold air blows from its entrance, which is very attractive in the middle of the rocky, hot and waterless terrain. Vjetrenica is perhaps most interesting in a zoological sense. In terms of its biological variety it is one of the richest caves in the world. It is officially in second place, with 85 troglobionates, animals who have completely adapted to life in eternal darkness. There are mostly crabs molluscs, insects, and here too is the only European underwater vertebrate, the Human Fish. There is also a large number of endemic species which only live in caves. In this sense, there is a rich choice of dwellings within Vjetrenica.

7. Paragliding

Among extreme sports paragliding is more and more popular among people who love adventure of this air sport. It is all about free flying - it is about paragliding. Paragliding is an air sport. First steps made in early 80`s, by mountaineers and climbers who were looking for the most efficent and safe way of descent from the mountain top they have conquer. They used old parachute with possibility to steer, today replaced by new aerodinamicly designed paragliders.Mother Nature has gifted us with a great abundance of stunning scenery and a magnificent outback that have been explored by few.

8. Travnik

Ottoman town still best represents what was once called the European Istanbul. This ancient mosque's and fortress that dot the skyline are as impressive as the original style Bosnian architecture that gives this town its charm. Not far from Travnik is the mountain ski resort of Vlasic - a paradise for snowboarders and a great nature break spot. Travnik lays in the center of Bosnia and Herzegovina, in the canyon of the Lasva river, surrounded by mountains and among these is one of the biggest mountain in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

9. Sutjeska National Park

Sutjeska is one of Bosnia and Herzegovina's oldest parks. It is famous for the Partisan victory over the Germans in WW II and there are large stone monuments commemorating the event. The park itself is 17,500 hectares of magnificent and untouched wilderness. It hosts one of the last two remaining primeval forests in Europe, called Perucica. Beech trees tower over 60 metres high and endemic black pines stem from the rocky faces that protect the ancient forest. Skakavac waterfall can be seen from the look out point this seventy five metre plus waterfall is dwarfed by the massive blanket of green trees that cover the valley. The Sutjeska River has carved a stunning valley through the middle of the park and divides Zelengora Mountain from Maglic and Volujak Mountains.
