Reading Makes Me Write Poncy Things

I'm reading a book called The Cloud Upon The Sanctuary by Karl von Eckartshausen, who was a christian mystic in the 17th century. He wrote this "prayer for Alchemists" too, that, I think anyway, is really rather beautiful: Hail, pure self-moving Source, O form,pure for receiving the Light! The Light ofall things unites itself with thee alone.Most blessed art thou amoung all receptiveforms, and blessed is the Fruit that thouconceivest, the Essence of Light unitedwith warm substance.Pure Form, Mother of the most perfectBeing, lift thyself up to the Light for us,now as we toil and in the hour when wecomplete the Work! Well I thought it was cool anyway, and it beats watching Eastenders!
