Gnostic Mass

On Saturday I went to my second Gnostic Mass at Ameth Lodge. It was great, I was looking forward to it more now that I knew more about the mass than the first time I went and had put some more study into it and got hold of a copy of Mystery of Mystery the red flame journal all about the mass. I don't think I could compare the two masses I've been to with each other. They had their own feel to them and I wonder if every mass will be like that. This one seemed very romantic and sensual, probably because the Priest has this wonderful Spanish (I think) accent and the Priestess had a rich Irish one.Before the mass they ordained the Deacon (Congratulations!), and that was really cool to have seen. At one point she made a swift movement at the veiled altar and shouted something in greek which was really powerful to have watched. (Actually it may have been during the Baptism, I am unsure)Then afterwords myself and two others were baptized into the EGC. The ritual of the baptism can be found Here if you want to read it. I think the baptism is summed up perfectly on that website where it says: "baptism represents a symbolic birth into the Thelemic community", and that's exactly what it was.Big thanks to those who sponsored me. I didn't choke on the cake of light this time! Haha! But I did get awful stage fright.Everyone was really nice, and I'm very pleased to have joined a community of such cool people.So how cool is that - At the start of October last year I stated I wanted to do something, and now it has happened!That is all I have to say really, I look forward to the next one.
