AEON SPOKE
Sad mi fale moji bivši prijatelji. Jebemti mater. Otkrio sam bend koji je tak dobar da nije istina. Bivsi clanovi Cynica. Paul Masvidal i Sean Reinart. Ali prvo skinite 'pablo at the park'

Da ne serem pretjerano, budem vam c/p tekst sa stranice. Pa kome se dade....

"Lyrically the record explores the depths of spiritual
isolation that underlies the human condition," explains lead singer and lyricist Paul Masvidal. Paul had worked as a caretaker for the dying while writing the songs for this record, doing music therapy for transplant patients and other critically ill people. “I came to find out what was most important about living through working with the dying.”

Aeon Spoke’s sound is at once earthy and ethereal. Song themes describe the rawer emotions of human experience and reflect on unanswered questions of living in the here and now. Deceptively simple rhythms lay the foundation for soaring vocal melodies and otherworldly harmonic guitar textures. Influences range from early jazz to Bach to 60’s/70’s folk music. The band’s conviction is “to push the envelope and to keep growing as artists.” says Masvidal “It’s important to us that our music add new shades of color to the existing palate of songwriting and sound.”

Relentless live shows on both coasts at venues such as
Spaceland in LA and The Mercury Lounge in New York City, have helped them to develop a touring base. The inclusion of two songs on the soundtrack for the hit Warner Brothers television series Smallville, extended the band’s reach and established their potential and reputation. Paul’s whirlwind European solo acoustic jaunt was crowned with a sold out show for fans and tastemakers at London’s SOUND. Promo copies of the record released in the US culminated in no less than three tracks getting national airplay, and Friday Morning Quarterback reported that Ćon Spoke was added to the SubModern Top 25 album chart. Internationally, reception of the promo albums was equally ecstatic. DJ José María Carrasco of Radio Nacional de Espańa in Barcelona declared the album Record of the Week for 26 January 2004. The band continues to get regular rotation airplay on BBC Radio One in London. Most recently, a song has been featured in the current film "What the #$*! Do We Know?" which is playing in theatres nationwide.

Ćon Spoke’s music, both live and on record, continues
to engage and enrapture those who participate in the experience. UK’s music industry daily Record of the Day tipped the band as featured artist and declared the music "most beguiling…gets inside your head and stays". A live review of their Mercury Lounge gig stated that "they were very atmospheric and moody…the crowd there loved it". Indeed, the sound of Ćon Spoke has been described as hypnotic, introspective and vulnerable.
