La quinta edizione 2007 del Concorso Internazionale di Poesia Haiku in Lingua Italiana bandito da Cascina Macondo ha visto la partecipazione di 693 autori provenienti da ogni parte del mondo con 1678 haiku pervenuti.

* 12.00 a.m.: showing of the 4 videos and of the 7 digital pictures
selected at the First International VideoHaiku Contest.
The public and the Jury will choose the three authors to be awarded.

* 1 p.m. Lunch (euro 15.00 per head)

* Raku cooking of the prize bowls

and a copy of the anthology to the first three classed

* handing over of the certificates of merit to the authors selected attending the event

* showing of the three videohaikus and of the digital pictures awarded

selected by the public and the Jury in the morning, prize-giving and certificates of attendance ceremony

*lottery with a precious hand-manufactured Rakuware as a prize

* end of the event at approx. 6.30 p.m.

Beleska o autoru

Dr David G Lanoue je profesor engleskog jezika i svetske knjizevnosti, prevodilac haikua sa japanskog jezika i pisac "haiku romana". Diplomirao je na Univerzitetu Creighton u Omahi (1976), a doktorsku titulu dobio na Univerzitetu Nebraska (1981). Od 1981. godine predaje engleski jezik na Xavier University of Lousiana u Nju Orleansu. Godine 1982. se upoznaje sa haikuom. Ucio je japanski jezik i u vise navrata boravio u Japanu dok je radio na prevodima Isinih pesama a nedavno je u Budistickom hramu odrzao predavanje o Isi i budizmu. Godine 1991. je objavio prevode Isinih pesama (Issa: Cup-of-Tea Poems, Asian Humanity Press). Objavljivao je haiku pesme, prevode i kriticke osvrte u mnogobrojnim uglednim svetskim casopisima u Americi, Japanu, Francuskoj, Italiji, Bugarskoj... Pored pisanja haiku romana - Haiku Guy, Laughing Buddha i Haiku Wars - urednik je The Haiku Society od America's Member's Anthology 2003, a 2004. je priveo kraju pisanje kritickih analiza Pure Land Haiku: The Art of Priest Issa, projekt na kome je radio preko 15 godina. Aktivan je clan Haiku Society of America, suosnivac New Orleans Haiku Society a donedavno je bio i jedan od direktora Svetskog haiku udruzenja.
