Am melting

Am melting, brain has shut down, can't concentrate, I'm so weak, please pity me. Seriously, what kind of genius came up with having the major exams in July/August !? The only thing I'm really good at during this time of the year is sleeping and drinking water excessively.Saw "Robots of Death" (fourth Doctor) and I think I like Leela. Leela likes knives. I like girls who like knives. I thought the helium thing was hilarious. Maybe I'm just not noticing it but I'd like to see that kind of crazy solutions on the new show instead of the general running around and smashing stuff. And while the costumes made no sense whatsoever to me, they did look very pretty. Loved the humorous bits. Uhm, yeah, the plot. While I've never read Asimov I did catch the references. I... I think I'll go back to melting and whining now.I also like Vivaldi very much. Just saying.

I think I had something to say

I think I had something to say. At least I think I did. But then this evil...person made me watch live action Sailor Moon and now my brain feels sort of dead. Or maybe it's just scared to death.I watched "The Daleks" today. And I think I might hate Barbara and Ian. I'm not sure, yet. They do grate on my nerves, however. Daleks are also cute and funny and I can't take them seriously so far. Or maybe the sixties just are not for me. I think I'll skip ahead to Four now and meet Leela.

my brain is being eaten by the Soulless Minions of Orthodoxy aka papers and essays

Actually, I wanted to tell you again how much I love my philosophy prof and why exactly and how he makes the academic world a better place and how much I hate this Adorno guy. Man, I like to poke fun at structural functionalism in its extreme incarnations and I do find it rather silly most of the time but the only Great Thinkers that ever cause me to feel some real hatred are the likes of Horkheimer&Adorno. But I wanted to save that rant for another time. And I will rant because that's the only way I can see myself surviving this week. Or the biggest case of denial ever.So, instead of all of this, I'll make some senseless remarks on old Doctor Who eps, yay!First of all, I did some research and I already knew there were episodes missing. What I didn't know just how many episodes are missing. And OMG why so many Two episodes !? I like Two! And how am I supposed to truly appreciate Jamie's skirts with so few episodes left? Life is not fair!I really like Four. That must be one of the most shocking opinions in the entire fandom. Seriously, Tom Baker really is cool. I was going for the "I imagines he would be taller" line but he is pretty damned tall. He's also weirdly pretty as well...Uhm yeah. The story. Mummies from Outerspace. And old Egyptian gods are actually aliens. And Sarah Jane Smith wore a horrible dress but yet managed to look rather good in it. I like Sarah. Which is another shocking unusual opinion, I guess. To be quite honest, I didn't find the first couple of episodes as engaging as the last two. The last episode is where the cool Doctor stuff is, imo. And can I just say that I love the scarf and the outfit? Four is really pretty. And do I sense snark?I also really liked Three from his intro ep. It's the wheelchair escape. And I thought his reaction to his new self was rather hilarious. Not sure what to think of Liz Shaw. I get a bit irritated by characters who are supposed to be extremely smart but then wear really stupid clothing. The Brig... the Brigadier and Captain Jack should meet. 'nuff said. Also, yay, Autons! I'm looking forward to re-watching the new episodes with a bit more background info in mind.And now, back to Horkheimer and Adorno and getting my brain killed. Anyone has a time-turner to spare?
