Evo konacno zadnjeg nastavka o mome tripu na festival muzike i arta. Sorry sto mi je trebalo 100 god. ali znate kako je...
OK. Cijelo nedeljno popodne sastojalo se u nabrijavanju na Rage, koji su naravno bili zadnji band veceri.
Sunce je tuklo, pio se Heiney i zujali smo po svim stageovima po malo. Culi smo da su se pred istim pozornicama muvale Lindsay Lohan, Cameron Diaz, Drew, Paris Hilton, Scarlett i Jessica Alba,a mi konji nismo ni jednu od njih vidjeli! (pijana Lindsay, Scarlett I Jessica 
)
Prvi band koji smo vidjeli bili su savrseni The Roots, od kojih nisam puno ocekivao i iskreno najvise ih znam zbog Jay-Z Unpluggeda, no picili su dosta covera i totalno razigrali rulju, svi su plesali i skakali. Pred kraj napravili su Dylanov cover od Masters Of War na melodiju Americke himne, i bilo je tako dobro da su me trnci prosli. To je ujedno i bio prvi od mnogih AnTi Bush statementa tog dana. Poslje njih na istom Main Stageu nastupio je matori hipi Willie Nelson, pa smo se preselili da gledamo Placebo i Air, onda je fino pao mrak i vec oko 9 pocela se masovna rulja okupljati pred glavnom pozornicom gdje je taman poceo Manu Chao. Njega je dobro rulja prihvatila, iako mislim da se previse ulizivao meksickom dijelu publike (posvecivajuci im pjesme i ostale "la raza" uskocice) koji su dosli gledati Rage. Isto je i on nesto na katastrofalnom engleskom vikao protiv Busha: "you can't fight terrorism with terrorism". Oko pola jedanast pocela je takva guzva i tako je rulja pocela gurati prema stageu da se jedva moglo disati i sve zenke su lagano pocele uvidati da ce biti gusto i poceli napustati prvih desetak redova. I onda taman oko 10.45:

U mladim danima bio sam u dosta sutki i u prvim redovima dosta koncerata, no takvu sutku i guzvu i energiju i anarhiju i mayhem nisam nikada dozivio. Body Heat, anticipacija, znoj i revolucija u zraku, a svi united sa sakom u zraku i u istom ritmu. Mislim da se takvo nesto moze usporediti jedino sa koncertom U2-a u Dublinu (i jos nadodajte sedmo godisnju pauzu, bujajuci rat, poruke revolucije, agresiju koju nadodaje Rage, alkosh, nabrijanost koja se kuhala 3 dana na 40 stupnjeva i to je to). Kada su zavrsili takav eliktricitet je vladao u zraku da je jedan pogresam korak policije i cuvara mogao izazvati Woodstock 99. Rijeka od 50 tisuca ljudi, toliko nagurani i u isto vrijeme napizdeni na svakog moguceg sluzbenika, koja se krece prema uskom izlazu. Bio je to jedan od najvecih, najboljih, najemocionalnijih i najrelevantijih koncerata koji sam ikada gledao. (Do sada tu poziciju drzali su bas U2 2001.)

The musical event of the year has come and gone, and despite attending, I have posted nothing. The reason being: I have been terribly busy this week. But yes, Adam and I drove out for the Coachella Music and Arts Festival in Indio, CA, last week, and it was nothing short of AAAHHHHH!!!-mazing. Can you imagine? Camping in the desert with thousands of people, kicking back to this line up as it builds to Rage Against the Machine’s first show in seven years? The energy was frenetic — despite the oppressive day time heat.
ok, u petak odmah nakon posla zaputili smo se u pustinju, 2.5 sati juzno od l.a-a prema san diegu. Traffic je bio tako strasan da se tro satni put pretvorio u petorosatni i nismo dosli u svoj motelcic do ponoci, ali naravno da ne izgubimo dragocijeno vrijeme, na putu smo stali u 7-11 i priskrbili se jeftinom pivom. U motelu su nam se pridruzili ostali drugari koje nisam vidio jos iz ING dana, pa je mini tulum u nasoj sobici zapoceo instantno. Naravno svi susjedi bili su u motelcicu sa istom namjerom (jel tko pametan bez razloga spava u poprljavom, jeftinom motelu u sred pustinje, gdje je jedino svijetlo oblizna crpka) pa se tulumcic/pijanka selio iz sobicka do sobicka, i tako sve do zore. Kad sam se probudio skuzio sam da sam sa dva tipa u kreveticu i taman da se ustanem, na podu ih jos 3!! dakle 6 ljudi (citaj pijanih majmuna) u sobicku 5 sa 5 sa jednim queen size krevetom. Mozete misliti prizora! Naravno, 50 praznih boca, cikovi, trava svuda po podu, stolu, kupatilu. I tako dignemo se svi mi (oko 2) i odma zaputimo na svijez zrak, a posto smo vec bili obuceni od sinoc i svejedno idemo u pjesak na plus 40, nije nas bas bilo briga za modu. Cim smo pristigli u kompleks (Coachella festival odrzava se na 7 stageova u isto vrijeme, svi jedno 30 metara udaljeni jedno od drugoga i svaki stage sa svojom namjerom-hip hop, dance, trance, rock, pop, top 40, tako da ima za svakoga po nesto) otisli smo na main stage gdje je taman pocinjala vrlo dobra i talentirana New Yorcanka/ruskinja Regina Spektor. To smo lijepo pogledali i ponovno raspalili po pivici taman da razbijemo mamurluk. Kada je doslo vrijeme da gledamo Peter Bjorn and John (sve je bilo unaprijed dogovereno i rasporedeno, jel taj dan od 13:00 pa do jedan ujutro sviralo je preko 40 izvodaca.) toliko ljudi se naguralo, takva suncara je opalila da sam se skoro onesvjestio. Stoga sam bio primoran poslusati “Young Folks” sjedeci pod palmom u hladu. Slijedeci band koji mi se jako svidio bili su The Decemberists. Onda je pomalo poceo padati mrakic i preselili smo se opet na Main Stage gdje se vec rulja pocela guzvati za Arcade Fire koji su opet bili odlicni (gledao sam ih isto na jednom festivalu prije jedno godinu dana). Njihov set je u pocetku bio loaded sa less ecstatic songs sa njihovog novog albuma, Neon Bible, sto je znacilo da su mogli unleashati full-on anthems sa Funeral-a u drogoj polovici show-a. Do tada smo vec dobro bili pijani i veseli i taman su se pojavili Peperrsi, koji su bili puno bolji no sto sam ocekivao. Njih sam vec jednom gledao na nekom VH1 award showu nakon sto je izasao Californiacation i bili su uzas, gledao sam nadavni koncert iz Milana na DVD-u i isto nije bas bilo nesto great po mome misljenju, i mislio sam nema teorije da budu ok pred festivalskom publikom koji su dosli gledati Rage. Ali za cudo bili su vrlo dobri, Frusciante je rasturao, svi ostali po ocekivanjima. Jammali su do jaja i naravno odsvirali su sve hitove. Ovako je to vidio profesionalni novinar Rolling Stonea:"The Peppers’ set was solid but unspectacular, weighed down in the middle by a few too many mid-tempo tunes from Stadium Arcadium –- these guys have headlined so many festivals that this performance lacked a sense of occasion. (The biggest surprise was Anthony Kiedis’ luxuriant mustache –- a far sturdier model than the fuzzy thing sported by Interpol’s Carlos D the night before.) Kiedis’ always-shaky pitch wandered off a few times, but John Frusciante’s falsetto harmonies never wavered. And there were some amazing moments, including Flea’s jaw-droppingly complex bass line on a brief cover of Donna Summer’s “I Feel Love” and Frusciante’s Hendrixian lead-guitar freak-outs throughout, which are more flamboyant than ever."
Nakon Peppersa otrcali smo na LCD Soundsystem, koji su svirali u isto vrijeme?! i to pred samim raverima koji su bili totalno nadrogirani i samo iscekivali nadolazeci Tiesto. Zao mi je sto nisam ih uspio vise vidjeti, ali nisam htio otici bas na pocetku Peppersa, pa smo otisli taman pred kraj kako bi vidjeli oba. Pred kraj umoreni, izgoreni i nazujeni uz zvukove Tiesta zapalili smo za nas motelcic gdje smo se opet nagurali i poumirali od umora. Tek smo na pola puta!!!
Evo vratio sam se iz pustinje. Bio je to jedan od najboljih vikenda ikada. Umoran sam i izgoren, u ponedeljak se nisam pojavio na poslu, u utorak se trijeznio, pa sada hvatam konce. Bilo je 60 000 ljudi i bilo je savrseno!!! Vidim da ste nestrpljivi za novim postom pa vam evo mali preview. Highlight naravno je bila prva svirka rage-a nakon 7 godina. detalji uskoro!!!

If the same laws were applied to U.S. Presidents as those were applied to the Nazi's during WWII, then every single one of 'em, every last rich white one of 'em, from Truman on would have been hung to death, and shot. And this current administration is no exception. They should be hung, and tried, and shot. As any war criminal should be. And the challenges that we face, they go way beyond administrations. Way beyond elections. Way Beyond every four years of pulling levers. Way beyond that, because this whole rotten system as become so vicious and cruel, that in order to sustain itself, it needs to destroy entire countries, and profit from their reconstruction, in order to survive, and that's not a system that changes every four years, it's a system that we have to break down generation after generation after generation after generation after generation. Wake up.
