Lee Roy Parnell (born December 21, 1956) is an American country music artist. Active since 1990, he has recorded eight studio albums, and has charted more than twenty singles on the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks (now Hot Country Songs) charts. His highest-charting hits are "What Kind of Fool Do You Think I Am" (1992), "Tender Moment" (1993), and "A Little Bit of You" (1995), all of which peaked at #2. Four more of his singles have charted in the Top Ten as well. Besides his own work, Parnell has played slide guitar and National guitar on several other country recordings.

Bob Woodruff (born March 14, 1961 in New York City) is an American country music singer and songwriter. Initially, he was a member of a country rock band called The Fields before beginning a career as a solo artist. He released two studio albums (1994's Dreams & Saturday Nights and 1997's Desire Road) and has charted two singles on the Billboard country music charts, as well as a third on the RPM Country Tracks chart in Canada. Hello everybody. Here's a concert I put together from multiple sources of Olivia LIVE in Amsterdam. For the most part it is the complete concert. Both sources did not air the following songs "Banks Of The Ohio" and "Jolene". Overall the audio from both sources are nice but you can tell that it switches throughout the concert. I tried my best at mixing it down.I also added audio from the press conference that was shown at this concert. Enjoy guys!!

Ernest has nineteen releases to his name, and has also released a live Concert DVD. Ernest is the father to his also musical talented son, Delaney Monias. Charlie Major - Discography

Charlie Major (born December 31, 1954) is a Canadian country music artist. He has recorded six studio albums and released more than twenty singles.

Born in Aylmer, Quebec, Charlie Major knew he wanted to be a musician since he was 19 years old. He was blinded in one eye as a result of a pellet gun accident when he was 12. He spent 15 years traveling as far as Spain writing songs and putting country bands together, which eventually led to a record deal with Arista Records. Major released his debut album in Canada, The Other Side, in 1993. All six singles released from the album went to #1 on the RPM Country chart.

Through the 1990s, he won the Juno Award as Country Male Vocalist of the Year for two years in a row (Juno Awards in 1994 and 1995). Five major Canadian Country Music Awards followed, along with songwriting honours from SOCAN, and a BMI Award in 1993 for "Backroads", recorded by Ricky Van Shelton in 1991 on his Backroads album, as the “Most Performed Song in America.” In 2006 he made an appearance on the television show "Holmes on Homes

Foster and Lloyd - Foster and Lloyd (1987)

Radney Foster and Bill Lloyd's first release from back in 1987. Seems like a long time ago. Not sure what happened to Bill Lloyd, but Radney Foster was still kicking around in 2002. I got his "Another Way To Go" CD, and it's got some great stuff on there as well. As for his current activities, I'm not really in the loop on them.....

But this Foster Lloyd album is a real solid effort! I still pull this out on a regular basis and really enjoy it. As far as I'm concerned, there is not a bad cut on the album. I remember a 90's trip with my good friend Alex down to see our bro Mike in Windsor. We played it in the car for Alex, and even he was impressed (and that's not an easy thing to do!). So we ended up playing that one almost non stop when rolling around town. Great memories.........

Back in '87, I was really into the "new music" as well as my classic rawk but I was interested a bit in country. A co-worker told me to try this one on for size. I really dug it, and bought my own CD. It is "country" in vibe I suppose, but it's really about great (pop) songs, deep (sing along) grooves, as well as heartfelt perfomances. What more could you want??

Danny Gatton (September 4, 1945 – October 4, 1994) was an American guitarist who fused rockabilly, jazz, and country styles to create his own distinctive style of playing. A biography, Unfinished Business: The Life and Times of Danny Gatton by Ralph Heibutzki, was published in 2003. It has a voluminous discography. Gatton was ranked 63rd on Rolling Stone magazine's 100 Greatest Guitarists of all Time in 2003. On May 26, 2010, Gibson.com ranked Gatton as the 27th best guitarist of all time.

Danny Gatton American Music 1975

Originally released on vinyl in 1975, this was the first album to document the six-string genius of the late Danny Gatton. Stylistically, it's all over the place, veering from rockabilly to jazz to blues to good old fashioned rock and roll, with the one constant being Gatton's fretboard wizardry. Fascinating and essential in that it provides an early glimpse of Gatton at the beginning of an artistic journey that would tragically end with his suicide in 1994. Harlem Nocturne is KILLER.
This album may not be one of the best he ever put out, but...it was the first. He was explosive then, and his vintage improved with the passing years. If you collect, get this. Recommended for fans of big guitars.

Ollie Imogene Shepard (born November 21, 1933), better known as Jean Shepard, is an American honky tonk singer-songwriter who was a pioneer for women in country music. She had 44 charted hits between 1953 and 1978 and has been a member of the Grand Ole Opry for more than 50 years.

After Kitty Wells' 1952 breakthrough, Shepard quickly followed, and a national television gig and the Opry helped make her a star when few female country singers had enduring success. Her first hit, "A Dear John Letter", a 1953 duet with Ferlin Husky, was the first post-World War II record by a woman country artist to sell more than a million copies.. Boone Creek's second album One Way Track showcases the stunning instrumental skills of a young Ricky Skaggs, as well as his compatriots Jerry Douglas and Terry Baucom. The three musicians blend on tight, thrilling harmonies, but where they really shine is on their rampaging instrumentals, where they demonstrate their virtuosity. The title track, a Skaggs original, sets the pace for the album: a warm but still disciplined collection showcasing not only the players' abilities, but also their passion for the traditional material they cover. Eleni Mandell - Country For True Lovers 2003

Eleni Mandell takes a different approach with this album, offering up a batch of gin-soaked, traditional honky tonk numbers that bring to mind previous singers like Brenda Lee, Connie Francis, and Patsy Cline. The introductory "Another Lonely Heart" has the singer giving a credible performance that nails each tear-at-your-heartstrings note. Greg Leisz has an important part on the song with a great pedal steel guitar solo, but it's the mix of whispery jazz and country that Mandell excels at. "Don't Say You Care" falls along the same vein, with the slow and mournful melody carrying the song. "Refrain" is another quality performance, as Mandell does her best rendition of a tune screaming to be performed at Nashville's Ryman Auditorium. An interesting cover is Merle Haggard's "I've Got a Tender Heart," which has a definitive upbeat swing. "I'll get over you and make a brand new start," she sings behind a stellar cast of supporting musicians. The flow each song has can't be underestimated, giving each a timeless quality. A departure from the country mold is the blues-tinged "It's Raining," a number that seems a bit out of place here. One of the album's high points is the sparse yet cozy Celtic folk feeling on "Kingsport Town," a tune that predominantly resembles Cowboy Junkies. "You're All Bad (And That's Why You've Been Invited!)" is a tad wordy in places, but it has a punchy, bouncy Bonnie Raitt quality that works. "Home" consists of just vocal, acoustic guitar, and pretty backing harmonies that could be mistaken for Alison Krauss, except for the French verse. Overall, it's an album well worthy of its title.

Willis Alan Ramsey is the first, and only, album ever recorded by the Texas songwriter Willis Alan Ramsey. The album's genre is hard to categorize with touches of country, country rock, folk, and folk rock. The tunes range from the reflection and regret of "The Ballad of Spider John" to a heartfelt tribute to Woody Guthrie on "Boy from Oklahoma". It was recorded on Leon Russell's Shelter label in 1972, and Leon sat in on piano, keyboards, vibraphone. Other guest musicians include: Carl Radle, Jim Keltner, Red Rhodes and Russ Kunkel. The song "Muskrat Candlelight" was later covered by the band America in 1973 and then by Captain & Tennille in 1976, both using the title "Muskrat Love."

Jacky Ward

Jacky Ward (born November 18, 1946 in Groveton, Texas) is an American country music artist. Between 1972 and 1982, he recorded four albums for Mercury Records, and charted more than fifteen singles on the Billboard Hot Country Singles (now Hot Country Songs charts. His highest-peaking single, "A Lover's Question", reached #3 on the charts in 1978. In Ward's career, he recorded three duets with Reba McEntire, including McEntire's first Top 40 country hit, "Three Sheets in the Wind". After leaving Mercury in the early 1980s, Ward briefly signed to Asylum Records, releasing a cover of Ricky Nelson's "Travelin' Man" that year. Although he released four singles for the label, Ward never issued an album on Asylum, and left the country music business in the late 1980s.

In the 1980s he also hosted a show on The Nashville Network called "Dancin' USA".

John Dawson Read - A Friend Of Mine (Is Going Blind) 1975

John Dawson Read is an English singer-songwriter.

Born in Wokingham, England, Read first came to prominence in 1975 with his debut album A Friend of Mine Is Going Blind, released on Chrysalis Records. The album's title song was written by Read for a friend of his who suffered from Muscular Dystrophy. Read credits his friend with having been a writing inspiration for years, as well as being responsible for his debut album, having sent Read's songs to publishers.

Read’s second album, Read On, was released in 1976, again on Chrysalis. After this release Read seemed to disappear from the music business. Fans had little success finding information on Read until singer-songwriter Michael Johnson put an MP3 of “A Friend of Mine Is Going Blind” on his website. Many Read fans began communicating through the site, and this was one factor which encouraged Read to re-enter the music world after spending most of the time between 1976 and 2005 in a business partnership in marketing.

Read credits his discovery of Pristine Audio as being “the second most influential factor in ‘getting back into it.’” Andrew Rose of Pristine Audio remastered A Friend of Mine Is Going Blind and Read On. [1]

In 2005, Read released his third CD after a nearly 30 year absence from the music world. This CD, entitled Now...Where were we? begins with “Days of Sweet Remembrance (reprise)" from the album Read On.

Valdy - Country Man 1972

Valdy (born Paul Valdemar Horsdal on 1 September 1945 in Ottawa, Ontario[) is a Canadian folk musician whose solo career began in the early 1970s. He is known for "Rock and Roll Song", his first mainstream single released in mid-1972 on Haida/A&M

He was a member of the London Town Criers during the 1960s and subsequently joined Montreal band The Prodigal Sons. Prior to
beginning his solo career, he was based in Victoria working with various artists, including Blake Emmons

Valdy is the winner of two Juno Awards for Folk Singer of the Year and Folk Entertainer of the Year, and has received seven additional Juno nominations. His fourteen albums have achieved sales of nearly half a million copies, four of which are certified gold. Of Canadian folk artists in the mid-1970s, only Gordon Lightfoot was more popular.His music was featured in the Steve McQueen film The Getaway. Valdy also appeared on the CBC TV show The Beachcombers as the environmental activist "Halibut" Stu. He also managed to secure a part in the reunion production of The New Beachcombers performing a song he wrote, "It's The Water," as part of a jug band.

Valdy lives on Saltspring Island in British Columbia with his wife Kathleen. His daughter, Chelah Horsdal, is an actress.

His live albums include Family Gathering (A&M) recorded at Massey Hall in Toronto for 1974 release, and 2003's Viva Valdy: Live at Last (Rack-On-Tour). As of mid-2009, Valdy continued to regularly tour across Canada.

Jerry Riopelle - 2 albums

Jerry Riopelle is a musician and record producer raised in Tampa, Florida, and known primarily for his hard rock performances and for his record production.

Riopelle began his music career in the 1960s in Los Angeles working as an independent record producer. He played drums for the Hollywood Argyles and later signed with Screen Gems as a staff song writer. At Screen Gems, he wrote and produced, along with Clydie King, a single called "The Thrill is Gone". This exposure helped Riopelle land staff writer and producer job with Phil Spector at Philles Records.

Riopelle produced his first Top 20 single, "Home of the Brave," which was recorded by Bonnie & The Treasures. He later produced top 40 singles for The Parade and April Stevens & Nino Tempo. This led to an opportunity to work as an A&M Records producer and a role as a staff writer at Irving Music.

Riopelle produced and wrote for The Parade, Brewer & Shipley, We Five, and Shango. His songs have been covered by Leon Russell, Herb Alpert, Kenny Loggins, Rita Coolidge, Meat Loaf, and others. Jerry also wrote various pieces for Hollywood TV shows and films.

Riopelle and his wife Naomi have two children, daughter Angela and son Paul. Jerry and Naomi divide their time between homes in Scottsdale, Arizona, and Kailua-Kona, Hawaii.

Hey y'all. Lovely weather here at the moment. So I offer up another lovely and very rare album by US singer/songwriter "Jerry Riopelle". This, "The Second Album" was on my request list recently and a kind person called "ew" donated it recently as an album wrap. I had all of the songs except the "Jambalaya" one and when i listened to this and the single tracks it was slightly diferent folks. Perhaps my tracks are new edits for his compilation disc. I then tried to use Jetaudio to manually split the album but gave up after track 4 as it was cutting some of the tracks short on the fade outs. So i started to record them using my soundcard and I again gave up.

The Girlwatchers - Music To Watch Girls By (1967)

This is my new favorite album! And I found it in my favorite place - the bargain bin at HPB! I LOVE IT! Once again, it was the album cover that caught my eye. Isn't it great?! Don't you just love the vinyl dress the girl is wearing? Sigh. I wish I had been old enough in 1967 so that I could have worn a dress like that. I would've been stylin'!

Well, this album is lots of fun. It's all instrumental, but not Percy Faith type of instrumental (I love Percy Faith, too). This is swingin' and the kind of music you might hear in one of those 1960s movies with groovy chicks and happenin' guys. You know... the kind where there's a coffee house or club and the band never sings - only plays hip instrumental dance music. A couple of the songs on this album sound like what would be played for a striptease. What can I say - I love it!

The song "Satin Sheets" was and has always been Jeanne Pruett's signature song. The song sounded much more Country than the songs that were coming out of Nashville at the time. When "Satin Sheets" became a hit in 1973, Country music was moving more into Pop-oriented tunes yet "Satin Sheets" wasn't just a Country hit, it was also a Top 40 Pop hit. However, despite having such a big hit, Jeanne Pruett was not just a one-hit-wonder, continuing to chart again again up until the mid-1980s, like 1973's "I'm Your Woman" or "1979's "Back to Back".

Gus Hardin Concert 1985

Gus Hardin (born Carolyn Ann Blankenship on April 9, 1945 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, United States; died February 17, 1996) was a country music singer.

Hardin's rise to country music popularity began in 1983 with her first RCA Records single, the top 10 hit "After The Last Goodbye". Other hits, such as "Fallen Angel," "I Pass," "Lovin' You Hurts" and "If I Didn't Love You" soon followed, as well as "All Tangled Up in Love", a duet with Earl Thomas Conley.

Hardin married keyboard player Steve Hardin who was a member of the group Point Blank, and after their divorce she kept his last name. Garth Brooks sister, Betsy Smittle was one of Gus's band members and did background vocals on Gus's Cd "I"m Dancing As Fast As I Can".

Hardin died in a car crash on highway 20 east of Claremore, Oklahoma on the way home from singing at a Sunset Grill in Tulsa, on February 17, 1996. Memorial Services Were held in Oklahoma and Nashville, Tennessee.

Long John Baldry - 5 albums

John "Long John" William Baldry (12 January 1941 – 21 July 2005) was an English and Canadian blues singer and a voice actor. He sang with many British musicians, with Rod Stewart and Elton John appearing in bands led by Baldry in the 1960s. He enjoyed pop success in the UK where "Let the Heartaches Begin" reached No. 1 in 1967 and in Australia where his duet with Kathi McDonald "You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin'" reached No. 2 in 1980. Baldry lived in Canada from the late 1970s until his death. There he continued to make records and do voiceover work. He was the voice of Dr. Robotnik in Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog.

Roy Forbes - Love Turns to Ice (1987)

Roy Forbes (born February 12, 1953 in Dawson Creek, British Columbia) is a Canadian folk music singer-songwriter, whose music bears heavy influences from classic American genres of acoustic blues and traditional country.

Formerly known as Bim, his childhood nickname, he began his musical career in Vancouver in 1971. Initially, he appeared as the opening act for such groups as Supertramp and Santana, but soon came to headline and sell out his own shows. Forbes has appeared as a headliner in most of Canada's major folk music festivals. In 1984, he toured in the US with fellow Canadian Ferron, with whom he performed a duet on the song "Proud Crowd/Pride Cried" for her album, Shadows on a Dime. In 1987, he began performing and recording as Roy Forbes.

Forbes is known for his high soulful voice and percussive guitar playing.

He is also a member of the supergroup UHF, together with Shari Ulrich and Bill Henderson.

Songs written by Forbes have been recorded by Sylvia Tyson, Garnet Rogers, Valdy, and Susan Jacks.

Carlene Carter (born Rebecca Carlene Smith; September 26, 1955) is an American country singer and songwriter. She is the daughter of June Carter and her first husband, Carl Smith.

Between 1978 and the present, Carter has recorded twelve albums, primarily on major labels. In the same timespan, she has released more than twenty singles, including three #3-peaking hits on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts.

Great Lake Swimmers - Discography

Great Lake Swimmers is a Canadian band built around the melodic folk rock songs of singer-songwriter Tony Dekker. Originally from Wainfleet, Ontario, the band is currently based in Toronto.

The current touring line-up includes Tony Dekker on lead vocals, acoustic guitar and harmonica, Erik Arnesen on banjo, electric guitar and harmonium, Greg Millson on drums, Bret Higgins on upright bass and Miranda Mulholland on violin and backing vocals. Past members included Julie Fader, now a solo singer-songwriter, on backing vocals and Colin Huebert, now associated with the band Siskiyou, on drums.

The band's style has been compared to Red House Painters, Nick Drake, Iron & Wine and Neil Young, as well as Will Oldham(Bonnie "Prince" Billy) and Sufjan Stevens.Dekker has said his influences include Gram Parsons and Hank Williams.

The band released its third full-length album, Ongiara, on March 27, 2007 in Canada and in May for the rest of the world. Although signing to Nettwerk early in 2007, Great Lake Swimmers continue to be managed by (weewerk). In September 2007, (weewerk) released a limited edition vinyl version of Ongiara. It was available in Australia through native indie label Speak N Spell.

Their fourth album, Lost Channels, was released on March 31, 2009. It was shortlisted for the 2009 Polaris Music Prize, and was nominated for a Juno Award, in the category of Roots & Traditional Album of the Year – Group, and a Canadian Folk Music Award.

In 2009 Great Lake Swimmers took part in an interactive documentary series called City Sonic. The series, which featured 20 Toronto artists, had Tony Dekker talk about his daily underground commute along Toronto’s subway system.

Ty England - Alive And Well 2007

Gary Tyler "Ty" England (born December 5, 1963) is an American country music singer and guitarist. Initially a member of Garth Brooks' band, England began his solo career in 1995, recording a self-titled debut album on RCA Records. A second album, Two Ways to Fall, followed in 1996. Three years later, he recorded Highways & Dance Halls under the name Tyler England on Capitol Records, and Alive and Well and Livin' the Dream came in 2007 on the independent Triple T label. England has also charted six singles on the country charts. His highest-charting single was his debut single, "Should've Asked Her Faster", a #3 hit in late 1995.

Pure Prairie League is an American country-rock band whose roots began between 1964 and 1969 in Waverly, Ohio with Craig Fuller, George Powell, Tom McGrail, Jim Caughlan and John David Call. Tony Wade Hayes (born April 20, 1969 in Bethel Acres, Oklahoma) is an American country music artist. Signed to Columbia Records in 1994, he made his debut that year with his gold-certified album Old Enough to Know Better. Its title track, which served as his debut single, reached Number One on the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks (now Hot Country Songs) charts, and three more singles from it all reached Top Ten as well.

Bryan White - Bryan White (1994)

Bryan White is an American country music artist. In his career, he has released four studio albums and a greatest hits package, all on Asylum Records, as well as two Christmas-themed EPs, one of which was also issued on Asylum. His first two studio albums — his 1994 self-titled debut and 1996's Between Now and Forever — were both certified platinum by the RIAA for shipping one million copies in the US, while 1997's The Right Place was certified gold by the RIAA.

His releases for Asylum have accounted for fifteen singles on the Billboard country singles charts. Of these, four reached Number One: "Someone Else's Star" (1995), "Rebecca Lynn" (1996), "So Much for Pretending" (1996), and "Sittin' on Go" (1997). "So Much for Pretending" is the longest-lasting of these four, with a two-week stay at Number One. Two additional Top Ten hits, 1996's "I'm Not Supposed to Love You Anymore" and 1997's "Love Is the Right Place", peaked at #4 on the same chart.

White has also charted a Christmas single, 1999's "Holiday Inn", as well as two guest singles. The first of these was a multi-artist charity single entitled "One Heart at a Time", and the second was a duet vocal on Shania Twain's "From This Moment On." Although this song crossed over to the Billboard Hot 100, White did not receive chart credit for it outside the country charts in the United States.

Tommy Roe - Greatest Hits (1993)

Widely perceived as one of the archetypal bubblegum artists of the late '60s, Tommy Roe cut some pretty decent rockers along the way, especially early in his career -- many displaying some pretty prominent Buddy Holly roots. In fact, Roe's initial pop smash, 1962's chart-topping Sheila, was quite reminiscent of Holly's Peggy Sue, utilizing a very similar throbbing drumbeat and Roe's hiccuping vocal. The singer had previously cut the song for the smaller Judd label before remaking it in superior form for ABC-Paramount. The infectious Everybody -- another hot item the next year -- was waxed in Muscle Shoals at Rick Hall's Fame studios, normally an R&B-oriented facility (it's not widely known that Roe wrote songs for the Tams, a raw-edged soul group from his Atlanta hometown). Once Roe veered off on his squeaky-clean bubblegum tangent, he stuck with it for the rest of the decade. His lighthearted Sweet Pea and Hooray for Hazel burned up the charts in 1966, and he was still at it three years later when he waxed his biggest hit, Dizzy, and Jam Up Jelly Tight.

Blackhawk - Discography

Blackhawk is an American country music group founded in 1992 by Henry Paul (lead vocals, mandolin, acoustic guitar), Van Stephenson (background vocals, electric guitar), and Dave Robbins (background vocals, keyboards). Several backing musicians also performed with the trio; however, these backing musicians were not officially part of BlackHawk until 2008.

Prior to the group's formation, Robbins and Stephenson had co-written several Number One singles for the country pop band Restless Heart, and Stephenson had also charted two pop hits in the early 1980s.Paul was previously a member of the Southern rock band Outlaws as well.

In 1994, BlackHawk was signed to a record deal with Arista Nashville. Their debut single, "Goodbye Says It All", was released that year, peaking at #11 on the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks (now Hot Country Songs) charts,and their first album (1994's BlackHawk) was certified 2? Multi-Platinum by the RIAA. Throughout the rest of the 1990s, the band continued to chart several singles, in addition to releasing three more albums and a Greatest Hits package.

Van Stephenson departed the group in 2000 due to complications from skin cancer. He was replaced with Randy Threet (also a former member of the Outlaws), who made his first appearance on Spirit Dancer, the band's fifth studio album. After Threet's departure in 2003, Anthony Crawford took over as tenor vocalist and lead guitarist; Crawford was, in turn, succeeded by Michael Randall four years later. In early 2008, Robbins left the group to resume his songwriting career, and Threet re-joined. Since then, BlackHawk's backing band has been assumed into the main group, which comprises Paul (lead vocals, guitar, mandolin), Randall (acoustic guitar, background vocals), Threet (bass guitar, background vocals), Chris Anderson (lead guitar, background vocals), Jon Coleman (keyboards, background vocals), and Monte Yoho (drums, percussion).

Shooter Jennings - Missed The Boat 2011

Waylon Albright "Shooter" Jennings (born May 19, 1979) is an American singer-songwriter formerly active in the country music and Southern rock genres before switching to psychedelic rock in 2009. The only child of country singers Waylon Jennings and Jessi Colter, Jennings signed his first recording contract, with Universal South Records, in 2005, releasing his debut album Put the "O" Back in Country that year. This album produced his only entry on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts in its lead-off single "Fourth of July", which peaked at #26. Jennings has since followed Put the "O" Back in Country with three more albums: Electric Rodeo, Live at Irving Plaza 4.18.06 (both 2006), and The Wolf (2007). In 2009, he formed a new band Hierophant and toured with them on the Warped Tour. They released their debut album Black Ribbons in 2010.

Jeff Carson - Discography

Jeffrey Lee Herndon (born December 16, 1963 in Tulsa, Oklahoma), known professionally as Jeff Carson, is an American country music artist. Originally a session musician in Branson, Missouri and later a demo singer, he was signed to Curb Records in 1995, releasing his self-titled debut album that year, followed by Butterfly Kisses in 1998 and Real Life in 2002. He has charted fourteen singles on the Billboard country charts, including the Number One hit "Not on Your Love", the Top Ten hits "The Car" and "Holdin' Onto Somethin'" and the Top 20 "Real Life (I Never Was the Same Again)." Carson retired from music in 2009 and became a police officer.

Skip Ewing - 3 albums

Donald Ralph (Skip) Ewing (born March 6, 1964 in Redlands, California) is an American country music singer and songwriter. Active since 1988, Ewing has recorded nine studio albums, and has charted fifteen singles on the Billboard country charts.

Ewing first began to garner national attention during the mid-1980s both as a songwriter and recording artist for MCA and Capitol Records. Over 250 of his songs have been recorded, with more than a dozen of them becoming number one hits. Artists who have recorded Ewing's songs include Conway Twitty, George Jones, Andy Williams, Kenny Rogers, George Strait, Willie Nelson, Kenny Chesney, Clint Black, Collin Raye, Diamond Rio, Reba McEntire, Tim McGraw, Trisha Yearwood, Randy Travis, and Dave Koz.[citation needed]

Ewing is a notable attendee of Columbine High School in Jefferson County, Colorado, and Redlands High School in Redlands, California.

More recently, in 2008, he served as the duet partner of the radio version of Reba McEntire's single, "Every Other Weekend." While also co-writing this single, the song reached the Top 20 on the Billboard Country Chart, although the song was credited for one week to Ewing and Kenny Chesney as "Every Other Weekend with Reba McEntire and Skip Ewing or Kenny Chesney" and peaked at #57. After that, the song was credited to McEntire alone on the charts.

Mary Chapin Carpenter best albums of discography

Mary Chapin Carpenter (born February 21, 1958) is an American folk and country music artist. Carpenter spent several years singing in Washington, D.C. clubs before signing in the late 1980s with Columbia Records, who marketed her as a country singer. Carpenter's first album, 1987's Hometown Girl, did not produce any singles, although 1989's State of the Heart and 1990's Shooting Straight in the Dark each produced four Top 20 hits on the Billboard country singles charts.

Carpenter's most successful album to date remains 1992's Come On Come On, which yielded seven charting country singles and was certified quadruple platinum in the U.S. for sales exceeding four million copies. She followed it with Stones in the Road (1994) and A Place in the World (1996), which both featured hit singles. In the 2000s, Carpenter's albums departed both thematically and musically from her early work, becoming less radio-friendly and more focused on societal and political issues. Her most acclaimed and most topical album to date, The Calling, was released in March 2007. She followed that with The Age of Miracles in April 2010.

Carpenter has won five Grammy Awards, and is the only artist to have won four consecutive Grammy Award for Best Female Country Vocal Performance, which she received from 1992 to 1995. As of 2005, she had sold more than 12 million records

Carpenter has performed on television shows such as Late Night with David Letterman and Austin City Limits, radio shows such as The Diane Rehm Show and tours frequently, returning to Washington almost every summer to perform at the popular outdoor venue Wolftrap.
