I didn't include these originally because black is so hard to see detail; but black is a large part of my wardrobe and since we were on this black/white trend, I decided to put them in.

i tried to punch up the fill in light so you could at least get a little detail.. my theme was circles, -- the earrings, necklackes, dress and jacket....

This Mad Men Era vintage machine circa 1964 from Surrender Dorothy has been Refurbished and Rebuilt in our workshop from the inside out. She runs just like the day she was built.

This is a general use domestic machine and will stitch anything from mid-weight leather and denim to fine silk with a stitch range from 6 to 30 stitches per inch.

This handy gal features a foot control, straight-lock stitch, four pattens and widths in zig zag, four width patterns in point stitch. Forward and reverse, feed-dog settings and built-in bobbin winder, 3 position needle settings. She'll hold any size needles between a size 8 to a size 22.

The outer case is plastic, but the mechanism of this belt driven gal is all metal; all steel precision gears and drive shafts and encased in a cast iron frame and table. This machine is built like a tank and runs just like a top.
She's in beautiful condition with very little wear. This beautiful machine is ready to go in her original carrying case.

I highly recommend this user-friendly machine to any newbie seamstress. She's a pretty much newbie-proof. This is the same model top-shelf quality sewing machine purchased by the hundreds of thousands by High Schools for Home Economics classes all over the USA during the Kennedy-Johnson Era.

For the same price as one of those horrible-tear-your-hair out new plastic nightmares from Walmart you could be driving this lovely carefree vintage dreamboat instead!
This machine weighs about 38 lbs.

We had a group shoot at the Kincaid sand dunes in West Anchorage in July 2011. This may have been our best shoot of the season; absolutely great day, warm, sunny, no wind, excellent lighting, and incredible models - most of them were brand new to us.

Dana is one of my favorite models - I love shooting with her - she is everything a photographer could ask for - photogenic, creative, intelligent, dependable - ah, she is definitely clone-able. The only problem was the park closes at 9 p.m. (it gets dark around 11:30 p.m.) so we had 5 minutes before they locked the gates so I peeled off about 10 shots - I would have loved to have an hour or two to shoot with Dana - what a fantastic human being!

London to New York telectroscope

30th MAY: LONDON.NEW York and London have been connected by "telectroscope" - a mystery machine that its creator says uses a long-lost tunnel between the two cities.

The telectroscope allows people in London and New York to see each other on glass screens and send messages in real time on message boards that can be wiped clean.

At its opening, people lined up on either side of the Atlantic to step on to a platform, waving at those on the other side and swapping greetings.

One user in New York held a sign that read: "Go Man U!" while another urged "Come visit".

The contraption is the invention of London artist Paul St George, who is best known for making tiny replicas of large artworks, the New York Post reported.

Those behind it will only say that the machine uses "fibre optic" communication. St George sticks to his story that is utilises a tunnel between the countries that was started by his great grandfather.

"Hardly anyone knows that a secret tunnel runs deep beneath the Atlantic Ocean," the telectroscope website says.

The website also includes a history of the project, complete with an old-fashioned blow torch it claims was found in the disused tunnel when work to complete it was restarted.

It claims St George found notebooks, drawings and other plans in his grandmother's attic that led him to discover the tunnel and the potential of the telectroscope.

The telectroscopes will stay up on both sides of the Atlantic until June 15.

The Fashion Show is a British television programme which debuted on ITV2 on 11 September 2008. The programme was originally title The Fashion Project.

(17 Fashion Shows) Catwalk bookings give the right to make use of a model's service on the catwalk for the specified show and the right to allow photographers to be present to take photographs and videos of the show on the basis that all such material (or reproductions etc.

A fashion show is an event put on by a fashion designer to showcase his or her upcoming line of clothing during Fashion Week. Fashion shows debut every season, particularly the Spring/Summer and Fall/Winter seasons. This is where the latest fashion trends are made.

JOS rear light with B&M Seculite Plus internals

This is an old JOS light (via ebay) that I modified with internals from a B&M Seculite Plus. This involved a lot of solder gun work to remove and rearrange the electronics to fit in the smaller space, but it works wonderfully and is wired to the edelux up front via a wire that runs through the side of the fender, under the BB, and up through the inside of the downtube to reach the edelux. This was a huge amount of work but I think it looks much nicer than the Seculite Plus fender light.
