Ja ne znam tko si ti? Čuj me, dobri druže,
kad padne veče ponad tvoga krova,
kroz mrak se javi ćuk i hukne sova,
a oblaci ko jata ptica kruže
nad tornjevima sela i gradova -

izađi u noć... idi... Divlje ruže
opijat će te putem. Trn će cvasti,
otvorit oči lopoči na vodi.

Izađi... idi... Srebrn plašt će pasti
dalekom cestom, kud te srce vodi.

Ne vjeruj noći, čovjeku, ni buri
što kida greben tvoje volje. Gazi
na putu zmiju, guštera na stazi,
i budi kao putnik što se žuri
dalekom stepom zelenoj oazi.

Izađi u noć... idi... Divlje ruže
opijat će te putem. Trn će cvasti,
otvorit oči lopoči na vodi.

Izađi druže... Srebrn plašt će pasti
dalekom cestom kud te srce vodi.
