NFL: 49ers beat Raiders 17-3 and after gunshots are fired


San Francisco - We know the “Bay Area Rivalry” is heated but not this heated, it is only the pre-season. While two teams are battling on the “Gridiron” to see who is going to make their respective teams, fans Patriots Jersey Womens take shots at one another after the game was over.
The Patriots Jersey San Francisco 49ers hosted the Oakland Raiders for the second game of the pre-season. With both teams coming off Week 1 losses somebody had to have an edge in this game and get their first win. The 49ers are having quarterback troubles and after this game the Raiders may have them as well.
The 49ers opened the game by moving the ball pretty well under Alex Smith (8/13, 126 yards, 1 Int). They moved the ball mostly on the ground with Anthony Dixon (12 carries, 53 yards 1 TD) and Frank Gore (4 carries, 21 yards). The 49ers moved the ball 79-yards in 16 plays to get scoring position. They were set for a field-goal when the punter Andy Lee fumbled the snap and then threw an interception to Rolando McClain.
The Raiders could not capitalize on the turnover as they went three and out and was forced to punt the ball away. The 49ers were moving the ball again and then Smith threw a pass that was intercepted by Matt Shaughnessy who dropped back into coverage for the Raiders and he returned it 11 yards. The Raiders moved the ball 58-yards on the drive after the interception, but went for it on fourth down and Jason Campbell (5/7, 74 yards) was sacked. They were in field-goal range but refuse to kick one.
San Francisco took over on their 5-yard line and marched the ball 90-yards to get in scoring position. The Drive was highlighted by a one handed Braylon Edwards (2 receptions, 46 yards) catch that got him and his teammates excited. They could not score a touchdown and was forced to settle for a 23-yard David Akers field-goal. Akers put the first points of the game on the board making it a 3-0 Frisco lead.
Oakland took over after the field-goal and began to move the ball. During the drive Campbell had got a snap and rolled out trying to pass, and fumbled it then recovered it. In the process of him getting the ball back he was struck by a Raiders defender in the head, and was pretty shaken up. He left the game and Trent Edwards (3/6, 36 yards, 1 Int) came in to take over and a few plays later threw a interception to Tarell Brown. The 49ers took over, but just ran the ball to end the half.
The Raiders started the second half with the ball, but could not get things going as they were forced to punt. On the 49ers second play of the drive Kendall Hunter (9 carries, 105 yards, 1 TD) broke a 53-yard touchdown run to give them a 10-0 lead. Oakland continued to struggle in this quarter as they went three and out behind Kyle Boller (6/11, 56 yards, 1 Int) who came in to run their offense.

After the game the crowd was restless and two victims were assaulted. One was wearing an “F--- the Niners” T-shirt. He was shot seven times before stumbling to Candlestick Park security for help.
