You may call them freaks, but as long as they could arrange
another visit of TokioHotel in Israel, the band’s fans don’t care what you think
about them. Admirable.
A moment following the election of TokioHotel as the greatest international stars
of the year by the readers of "Teen Maariv", the band’s fan club went out to the
streets and arranged a demonstration calling to bring the band to another show
in Israel. At first, I couldn’t find the masses who come to Azriely junctions in
order to be heard. But once they started yelling, I couldn’t miss them. After all,
over a hundred teens dressed in black were holding signs calling to bring back
the band with the highest hairdo in the world. “We are demonstrating in order to
bring them back” explained 17 years old, Ortal Miller, one of the band’s
Israeli web’s founders. “They had returned to other places in the world for a
second concert, so they can come back to Israel during they next tour in March.”
You are taking these web issue very seriously..
“Yes. It’s a bi-lingual international forum. We had actually paid for it with our own
money. We have a staff of 30 people responsible for advertising, forums etc.”
How did you manage to call so many people to demonstrate?
Nancy Budagov, 16 years old: “TokioHotel’s fans are united after all. We
had arranged their concert in Israel three months ago by means of a petition we
had prepared, so we knew that many would come to demonstrate today.”
Lea Elysakov, 15: “We are strongly connected to their music. Theses are
teens connecting with teens”.
Valeria Beinish, 16: “Consider that they are all 18 years old. They write
the lyrics and music by themselves. We had even managed to have a German
reporter staying in Israel to cover this demonstration”. While we speak, the rest
of the gang keeps waving with their signs and yelling at passers-by their
incoherent words. Was it German, or does it only sound like it? At least they are
motivated. At this rate, I wouldn’t be surprised if prim minister Olmert attends to
discuss the band.
TokoHotel Forever!
Say, isn’t the band just a short-lived trend?
Omer Grindler, 15: “I think it’s forever.” That’s what I thought in the past
when I was a Backstreet Boys fan. I had mistakenly mentioned that to the
TokoHotel fans. Somehow I had hurt their already wounded souls.
Some people, definitely not myself, think they look like fagots..
Lital Knafi Shachar, 16 years old: “I had once showed Bill’s picture to my
friends, and some said he looks like a girl or a transvestite. This is nonsense.
The Emo style which is a bit feminine is back all over the world.
Between the yells, in the crowded street, the fans say some started playing the
guitar and some learn German in order to sing the band’s songs in their mother
tongue. As you may recall, when the Argentine series, Rebelde Way was a hit in
Israel, many teens started learning Spanish, and look what happened.
When two guys walking by mumble “who are all theses freaks?” The fans are not
offended as they are already uses to this talk.
Evelyn Dias, 15: “Once I had a water balloon thrown at me during fans meetings, and I got used to it”.
Adi Feiglson, 15: “By-standers think we are freaks. But we don’t care what
they say. No one can tell us who to love”.

BG: A few weeks ago was Valentine's Day. You probably received a lot of love letters. But have you sent something nice to someone, too?
Bill: Yes – My mom! Flowers. And I gave everyone a call that’s important to me.
BG: How do you feel when thousands of girls are standing in front of you at the concerts screaming “I love you!”?
Bill: It’s a nice feeling! Love is a big issue. And that is the most important sentence you can say to someone. I need some time until I can tell a girl “I love you”.
BG: So those words haven’t lost their meaning even if you heard them all the time?
Bill: No. Everybody has their own way of seeing things. I know a lot of people that don’t have any problem saying “I love you” that fast. For me it’s pretty difficult.
BG: Why?
Bill: First I’m in love and I feel that I love. But until I feel that it’s true love, I need some time. I’m very careful with it. When I say “I love you”, then I really mean it.
BG: How must a girl be to get the chance to be loved by you?
Bill: Down to earth and lots of fun. Humor totally impresses me. If I notice that we can laugh together, then I know; something is there...
BG: And what you don’t like?
Bill: Sitting around doing nothing while getting bored. I need a girlfriend that’s also spontaneous so that we can just go somewhere like that and just have a good time.
BG: How are you like a lover?
Bill: The most important thing for me is loyalty. I’m extremely jealous. And jealousy can be considered as a compliment. That means that you love the person. You want to be the only one for her and protect her.
BG: What makes you jealous?
Bill: I would allow flirting looks, but not exaggerating ones. A kiss on the mouth, one that’s not a friendly one means cheating to me.
BG: Have you ever been cheated on?
Bill: Luckily not. I say it clear from the beginning; if you want a change or if you fall in love with somebody else, it’s ok, but be honest. But tell me beforehand!
BG: Can being the girlfriend of Bill Kaulitz NOT be jealous of fangirls?
Bill [laughs]: I imagine that my future girlfriend would be jealous. But that will not be a problem. I would understand her very well. I’m the same!

Tokio Hotel su moji bogovi u Francuskoj – zašto ne možemo biti ponosni na teen bend?
Kad sam imao 7-8 godina, jedna godina trajala je vječno, ali sada vrijeme leti i jedna je godina već prošla. Čovječe, postajem stariji – ali i pametniji. To je isto nešto!
Pa, ljudi : pametan, star čovjek koji poznaje njihovu glazbu, što drugo treba?
Ali dosta o meni. Činjenica je da se mnogo stvari dogodilo 2007. među njemačkim bendovima, osim Rammsteina, imali smo priliku slaviti međunarodni uspjeh.
Na primjer, bio sam ljetos u Parizu, u to vrijeme su gradili ogromnu pozornicu na Champs-Élyseés due za nacionalni praznik. Tamo je uvijek ogromna parada sa stotinama tisuća Francuza, milijuna- da budem iskren. Pa sam pitao svog taxi vozača na mom jadnom francuskom – tko će nastupati? Ako već ne sjedite, sjednite molim vas: Tokio Hotel.
To si vam oni dečki iz Magdeburga, znate. Imaju oko 18 godina i mogu natjerati cure da vrište. Oni će nastupati pred par stotina tisuća ljudi u Francuskoj. Na nacionalni praznik!
Putovanje ide dalje. Italija. Ista stvar: dečki su bili gosti na MTV-evoj svečanosti i morali su premjestiti studio van da bi smirili masu fanova u publici.
Zatim, EMA u Munchenu, najveća Europska dodjela nagrada. Tko je bio dio toga? Tokio Hotel. Oni su prvi njemački bend u povijesti koji je bio nominiran u 2 internacionalne kategorije. I najbolje: oni su osvojili jednu nagradu! Čak ni drugi njemački bend Rammstein se ne može natjecati s time. Ali znate li što je najgore u tome? Njemačka im se smije. I to bez razloga. Zato što je teško naći europsku državu u kojoj nisu bili među top 10 najboljih.
Zašto im se svi smiju?
Nastupali su uživo na EMA u Munchenu, i kada su se popeli na pozornicu ljudi su im zviždali (rugali su se), to se puštalo u milijunima kućanstava. Također u Francuskoj, Italiji, Češkoj, Poljskoj, Rusiji i ostatku cijelog svijeta. Tokio Hotel su megazvijezde, nevjerojatno uspješni u mnogim zemljama a Nijemci zvižde kad njihov najuspješniji bend dolazi na pozornicu. Što mislite, što će ljudi u stranim zemljama pomisliti kad sjednu pred TV? ''Čudno, poslušajte to – oni zvižde u Njemačkoj, kad cool bend dolazi na pozornicu, kako je to čudno...''
I najapsurdnija stvar : bend je nastupao i WOOW! Durch den Monsun na engleskom. Na kraju, na pozornici pada kiša, bend nastavlja svirati. Tokio Hotel je završio a hala je totalno otkačena! Stalno ih odobravajući!
Koji vrag? Dirnuti nastupom su se odjednom pretvorili u fanove? Taj dečko koji je maloprije zviždao kao idiot sad stoji na stolici i plješće? To ne ide, što možete reći na to?
Ni ja ne znam. Stojite u Ollympia halli u Munchenu i nemate nikakvog zaključka.
Sve što znam je: Pljeskao sam kad su se penjali na pozornicu zeto što ti dečki iz Magdeburga zaslužuju poštovanje! Ili, zašto svaki drugi gost u mojoj emisiji kaže :'' ej Tokio Hotel, kada će te htjeti suradnju, s vama sam!''. Ja ne govorim o pop ili rock bendovima već i o die-hard ili žestokim reperima kao Bushido i Sido. Čak i ti izviđači za koje bi mislili da bi im se smijali.
Ništa! Oni su totalno za suradnju s njima, a kladim se da bi i oni s njima htjeli surađivati kad bi imali vremena. Stalno su na putu.
Bend je uvjerio sve u glazbenom biznisu prošle godine. Ja se nadam da ću danas uspjeti uvjeriti vas da nije loša stvar reći ''Tokio Hotel? Super bend!'', jer, da budemo iskreni oni su prošlogodišnji bend godine.

Bill writes like Tom......and Tom writes like Bill
Strange! Out of all people the tough, ubercool Tom has a typical girly handwriting and the fragile Bill that looks like a girl, writes like a macho! Tom’s handwriting is very neat and ordened, frequently and very readable, also many curves appear – that have Tom brings his letters to life, and it is typical for 15 year old schoolgirl. It is a nice female writing: decent, adjusted, harmonious and full of balance!
From coolness our rebeliousness no trace can be found.
Is Tom in his heart really a girl, is his macho attitude just a show?
Yes, handwriting experts say! Tom is one that goes with the flow, doesn’t wanna ahve fights, that tries to compensate and goes by his instincts.
Bill’s handwriting on the other hand goes in the direct opposite direction, it’s strong, explicit and outgoing. Bill is the communicative type, to who the responses from the outside are really important. He needs the feedback from others for his own ego, is addicted to it like a junkie. And Bill has ( in contrast to Tom ) many creativity and imagination. So female like as Bill looks, he really isn’t! He has a strong need for individuallity but is at the same time involved and doesn’t want to hurt the feelings of others. Fact: Bill is an exibitionistic show person, that needs the approval of others and follows his heart. Tom on the other hand stays on steady ground and doesn’t take a risk.

Tokio Hotel busted on Vacation!
Imagine:clear, light blue water. White beaches. Palms that give nice shades. 31° temperature, the sea has comfortable 28°. Got a bit jealous, huh? Right!
Here, almost 8000 kilometers away from home on the paradise-like Ari-Atoll(Maledives), you can spend your time very well. And two guys who really deserve it are relaxing there now. The Tokio Hotel-Twins(18) are relaxing here now from the stress of the past months. What a year: "Zimmer 483" album published, went throught all of europe, played 40 concerts. Every day in another city, every week in another country, no wonder that the Tokio-Hote-Twins are really vacation-ready.
Almost traditionally the boys back out to the islands in the Indian Ocean. What do they do here? Exactly: simply nothing! The whole day they lie on the beach and swim in the sea. Of course one can dive here and experience a unique under water world, but that is just to exhausting. That's why the boys prefer to hang out at the pool and to sip cool cocktails.
No concerts, no recordings, no travelling stress - that's what life should be like! And with that the boys offer new views: Tom shows - finally again without his hat - his cool rasta-hair(dreads).
Nice to see, that the brothers still have a good realationship. Even after a year, where they literally have seen each other every day, they still don't seperate. Tom admits: "We can't bear being apart, we do make one whole together, one person." That's why the two are to be seen on holidays in a double.
Really cool: their surfershorts in a partner look: Bill wears them in blue, Tom in red. All in all the twins make a good look in their swimming outfits. You can see them topless really seldomly. Quite some muscles that Tom has trained there. Also with his brother Bill everything is perfectly fine, rumors about anorexia can be banned into the world of phantasy. And all fans can be happy, so well relaxed and tanned, the next exhausting year for the boys can come!
