Tire production
How do you make a tire?
The importance of the tire is as obvious as it is the point of contact between the vehicle and the road. That is, as much as it affects the safety of a car, if not mount tires in good condition brand approvals and data obtained in safety tests are useless. Hence, a tire manufacturing process is detailed enough so that when it goes on sale have met the most stringent quality controls. -
As explained by the manufacturer Goodyear-Dunlop, first combine cauciucuri iarna raw materials to a very high temperature in a mixer called "Banbury machines", of the obtained results in a black colored gummy compound, which must be crushed repeatedly to correct manufacturing of the tire. Once cooled the rubber mills passes where it divides into the different parts of the tire, such as sidewalls and treads.
Besides the rubber, other materials are used such as polyester or nylon to form between the rubber linings, or metal-ring-shaped, which forms the heel. Other layers, such as those that make up the belt, are designed to withstand the friction between the rim and tire. The canvas with steel cables, pre treads, aim puncture resistance and securing themselves treads (last part of the tire).
Once all the parts are pressed by machine, is passed to the curing press where the tire gets its final shape and cauciucuri iarna drawing occurs tread by molds. This, which is the last step to make a tire lasts 12 to 25 minutes and is performed more than 300 ° C.
What is the largest tire manufacturers in the world?

The cake is distributed as follows: Bridgestone is the company that is at the forefront of car tire manufacturers worldwide. "One in five vehicles mounted our tires," say its makers. Holds 16.7% of the global market share, followed closely by Michelin, with a share of 16.3% and a production of more than 150 million tires annually, and, thirdly, Goodyear-Dunlop (13.2%).
