SCENE 8: Alice and Demetris stroll around Rome and explore the Colosseum and other famous buildings. They are passing by a beautiful house with a landscaped garden.
ALICE: That's what I'm saying. The house is a house. Even a house with a smaller yard is better than a flat above a tavern.
DEMETRIS:I think that life in Italy will continue to appeal to me (Alice rolls her eyes)
SCENE 9: They are in the apartment: Alice, Demetris, and Jean Paul. They talk in that room for the teachers of the Italian language -Veronica Domini. Demetris is laughing, and Alice looks at her strangely.
