Carpeting measurements By ERic
Home Depot came by and measured my 2 rooms but my measurements from wall to wall were less than theirs. Why would this be? I am even including part of the hall that is not being carpeted. I will ask them tomorrow about the discrepancy in measurements from theirs to mine. Seeing 9.6 yards of difference was a huge disappointment unless I am really missing something with the way carpeting is measured.
Master Bedroom
Home Depot measurement =12' x 20' 3".
My measurement = 14' 7" x 13' 11.5".
That is a difference of 4.38 yards.
Guest Bedroom
Home Depot measurement = 12' x 17'.
My measurement = 11' 10.5" x 13' 9".
That is a difference of 5.22 yards.
Home Depot said 43 yards total for both rooms they would charge me because the waste from one room can be moved to the other. My total for both rooms with waste from both rooms came out to 40.07 yards.
