The clarinet is a musical instrument that is a part of the woodwind family. The name derives from adding the suffix -et (meaning little) to the Italian word clarino (meaning a type of trumpet), as the first clarinets had a strident tone similar to that of a trumpet.

Macy's 2007 Holiday window display, Santa's Big Night, trails Santa Claus as he travels around the world, battling Jack Frost's snow flurries, and celebrating a long night's work back at the North Pole. Visitors can see where they fall in the Naughty or Nice machine, and get their Christmas cheer measured on the Spirit-o-meter.
