USE OF ND FILTER - OIL FILTER HOUSING CAP - VITA SHOWER FILTER.
Use Of Nd Filter
A filter that attenuates light evenly over the visible light spectrum. It reduces the light entering a lens, thus forcing the iris to open to its maximum.
In photography and optics, a neutral density filter or ND filter can be a colorless (clear) or grey filter. An ideal neutral density filter reduces and/or modifies intensity of all wavelengths or colors of light equally, giving no changes in hue of color rendition.
(ND Filters) Neutral Density filters can be attached to the lens of a camera to assist in preventing overexposure of an image. Prosumer camcorders have ND filters built in.
LCW Fader ND Mark 2 wide-angle problem example
The Lightcraft Variable ND Fader Mark 2 was set too high for the 21mm lens in this shot, producing uneven effects resulting in poor evaluative metering due to the design of variable ND filters. You can avoid this by using lower ND stop settings or by purchasing ND filters that do not operate with a similar mechanism.
This was an early experiment of mine using an ND filter to capture moving water. There are 3 other shots taken at the same time and I'm interested in any feedback and ideas on them.
I guess the 1st point will be is that the subject isn't that interesting and to trully evaluate the technique I ought to have chosen a more demanding subject.
