Life After Gastric Bypass: 6 Steps to Ensure Your Weight Loss Success
The adage says most people won't take action until their back is up against the wall and there's nothing to do but come out swinging. My back was against the wall! But it wasn't the fact that I had sleep apnea and needed a machine just so I could draw a breath. It also wasn't the fact that I could not cross my legs; shop for clothes in regular stores; walk for more than ten minutes without my back killing me; participate in sport activities, or even sit in an airplane without a seat belt extender. I, like many of you reading this book, was already numb to all the jokes from little kids or stares from adults, so those things never became a factor of the day I knew. The day I knew that I had to do something -- the day that I absolutely had to lose weight -- was when I couldn't even wipe my own backside. When you can't even reach around your own massive belly, or reach behind your own back to clean yourself, something has got to be done. At that point I was well over 450 pounds. It was an embarrassing secret that I thought I would take to my grave! No matter what made you choose this drastic change in your body and lifestyle, you should be proud of yourself for making the decision. Contrary to popular belief, surgery is not the easy way out. It's a major life altering choice that you and your family will have to live with for the rest of your lives. But, what a life you now have to live! This book will tell the story of an overweight child who became an obese adult and then decided to do something about it when his back was against the wall. Also, with help of an expert in her field, we'll show you how to achieve your goal weight and maintain it through the proper diet and exercise long after the first incision was ever made.

My newly obtained Russian friend was bought on EBay, from Ukraine. A long way to Turkey must have shaked it well that when I opened the box, I found its rangefinder broken and shutter silent as dead.
Of course the shutter needed battery, a mercury type from old times, and installed a fresh Alkaline replacement. Still no action, caused a brave thought of opening the big metal box.
Only after a few screws and the battery door, the top comes off, letting you to do your job clean without touching any brain cells.
I found the rangefinder problem is just mirrors fell due to dried adhesive. Sticking them back followed with rangefinder readjustment made it ok with just some vertical offset in the bright spot.
Although I couldn't understand the battery problem, bypassing the battery check button solved the problem and the shutter was back to life again.
The camera needs enough light for 1/30sec f/2.8, and doesn't take it otherwise. As the light level increases the shutter speed increases also, up to a set maximum, starting to close down the aperture after this point. Very brilliant operation with fairly good metering.
Anyway, I'll try to put more sample shots taken with this camera, if I ever put a film in it of course :)

The ghost of past mistakes grabbed me roughly and pinned me down
Try as I might to explain about fuel consumption, range and distance remaining till our next town
The fuel gauge needle hovering at a quarter, pointed ominously at my direction
Other companions nodding disapprovingly, clucking tongues
No more exploring until further top up
And so we sped towards Cue, which was nothing to my expectations
When the earth stopped giving, the ore diminishing
The highway and roads bypassed the town,
Taking away business, traffic and opportunity
Humming the soundtrack to the Alamo, we cruised the dry dusty main road devoid of cars and pedestrians
Storefronts with shuttered windows and doors, dirty stained glass with finger graffiti
It was to be a new experience for us - staying at a sheep shearing station
Just 8 minutes from town, the sheep have long gone
