Did Pre pioneer time-divergent synchronised running?
Extraordinary twin photos of Steve Prefontaine taken apart in the first heat of the 5000m event of the 1972 US Olympic Team track and field time trials, July 6, 1972, Hayward Field, Eugene, Oregon. These photos were taken from the same vantage point by the same photographer, S. Sutton. The photo on the right is an earlier lap than the one on the left--Pre crossed the finish line with his shirt tail out. The photos of Pre are virtually identical except for the shirt tail and his left hand being slightly lower in the right photo. Amazing coincidence!
There were two 5000m heats on July 6, 1972. The top six finishers of each heat met in the final. A crowd of 12,500 watched the heats. The final was run 7:30pm Sunday, July 9th.
After winning his heat, Pre said: "I feel just great. I hope the same way Sunday. I needed this race for a lot of reasons. Mostly it was the psychological factor. When you have rested four or five days, you wonder if you still have it."
After reviewing his heat win and the qualifying fifth-place finish by 34-year old chief rival George Young in the 2nd 5000m heat, 21-year old Pre started to worry. "He [Young] must be in good shape or he wouldn't be here." Young was competing for his fourth Olympic berth. He came in 3rd in the steeplechase and 16th in the marathon in the 1968 Olympics.

How I met your mother- T.G.I.Viernes
Mateo,
The power of love is a curious thing.
Makes one man weep, makes another man sing. The words of the great huey lewis are so spot on and on december 2008, I was just beginning to get used to life without darth ray and lana h. lang.
I can't even remember the day that I took this picture. I do know that it was a friday and that the houston rockets were playing.
Since 2003, your uncle bruce wayne, the most successful member in our justice league, made it a tradition to wear the shirt he won at oyster bake( St. Mary's University)on every gameday that fell on a friday.
Your uncle bruce is a great man, not only does he possess things that would make lex luthor jealous, but his work at St. Luke's hospital is remarkable.
So what's the point of this story? Oh yeah.......Lois lane and I shared a special moment during dinner with bruce and his fiancee. And that two months from this night, both lana lang and darth ray would contact me.
