PORTABLE RING FLASH - O RING TUBE.
The EM-140 DG Macro Flash is designed to work with both AF 35mm film and Digital SLR cameras of all-popular manufactures. The EM-140 DG Ring Flash is ideal for photographing subjects in fine detail whenthe shadowless mode is used and is extremely effective for scientific and medical applications. Dual flash tubes can fire simultaneously or separately. Using only one flash tube creates shadow, which can give a three-dimensional feeling to the subject. The flash features a guide number of 45 with ISO 100 The Modeling Flash function makes it possible to check for reflections and shadows before actually taking the flash picture. A wireless flash function is also available, when the EM-140 DG is used as master and the EF-500 DG SUPER as a slave unit for creating fine shadow details.High Speed Synchro and Exposure compensation functions are also available for advanced flash photography.
As I was searching the market for a small, portable ring flash for portraits, I came across the Alien Bee ABR-800 and speedlight attachments such as the Ray Flash and Orbis. The ABR-800, although small, is by no means portable, and the speedlight attachments are clumsy. Finally, I came across the Sunpak 16R Pro ring flash. I saw that there were complaints regarding red-eye, but that is easily correctable, so I took the leap. I was able to increase the efficiency and softness by making a foldable reflector lined with aluminum foil. Coupled with my D700's high ISO capability, I can take full length portraits. The wrap-around lighting is great, and somehow, with the reflector, I'm not getting much red-eye at all. There's even a modeling light, although it drains the batteries. I'm looking for an external battery pack that I can use with this.

I took the picture with my old Nikon D500 and a 18-55mm lens; old gear that I am sold now in order to affor a new 18-200mm lens (this "all in one" would allow me to travel light).
Missing from the picture is the latest gadget I bought in eBay: an Epson P-2000 backup unit.
The Orbis Ring Flash uses your existing flash/strobe to create the same beautiful, characteristic ring flash look that has previously only been possible with expensive studio systems.
