Dreadzone's fourth album 'Sound' is a blend of dub, reggae, and breakbeats. The album returns to a more underground sound, but still continues to push their distinctive genre crossing style forward.It's a joyful combination of electric and dub-edged beats and has been designed to bring pleasure and inspire movement.Dreadzone have moved up - tempo somewhat with this dancey / dub creation but still manage to retain their own style of music as heard on Dread pon Sound and Believeing In It and Return of the Dread. Credit must be given to a band which continues to turn out out top sounds every release despite financial setbacks.The Dreadzone story is one that deserves closer examination…. Now in their tenth year the eclectic London outfit have used an ever changing line up to re-invent themselves and stay original. Associations with diverse bedfellows such as Creation, Finger Lickin, Virgin, Glastonbury and John Peel has resulted in a catalogue of great music that has won them many admirers.
