An asteroid threatens to charice pempengco the Red Planet.
Astronomers at NASA say there is a 1 in 75 chance that Mars will be in the path of a huge rock traveling 8 miles per second. If the collision takes place, it will happen January 30, 2008.
Scientists are used to dealing with much greater odds when tracking statistical probabilities.
NASA first noticed the asteroid back in November. Its name is 2007 WD5. If the asteroid hits Mars, scientists expect to see a hole the size of Meteor Crater in Arizona.
