When fiancés come before God and want to get married it is important to look back a little and remind yourself that these two people are not accidental in this world, but someone wanted to be a part of it. Someone wanted them to be born at a certain time, in a certain place, in a certain family. And even their parents who were expecting a child, while their mother carried them under her heart, she knew she would have a child, but she did not know who would be born. In the beginning, it won't even be a son or a daughter, what kind of eyes they will have, what color their hair will be, what their nature will be like ... But someone wanted to live a long time ago. And a lot of things in life had to coincide for the two fiancés to meet and come to the altar. Fiancés have separate life paths that merge at one point and then come before God because they are convinced that they have met a person they understood in their heart and decided to meet someone with whom they want to spend and share their life, share sadness and joy, happiness and grief. It's a big deal! In order to stand with someone in front of the altar, you need to meet someone really special in your life, for yourself. And while they’ve certainly been through a lot in their lives together, marriage is something else, something much much more than what they’ve lived so far. The groom, as a married man, as the head of the family, by his yes, which he utters before God and the Church, accepts the duty of husband and father, becomes in a special way, responsible for the safety of the home. And it is his duty to love and respect his wife, because she needs him. He is obliged to be faithful to God and his wife and he promises this at the altar. The bride, as a married woman, accepts her duty as a wife and mother. Her task is, in a special way, to take care of the warmth of home. To love and respect the husband, to support him and to raise children with his protection. When we connect security and warmth we have a home. And the home should be filled with love, love that is generous, benevolent, does not envy, does not seek its own, does not remember evil, rejoices in the truth ... And such, authentic love, never stops! And finally, let's not forget that God, with his blessing, wants to follow the common life and marriage of these people, because he cares so much that love wins! |
