The fourth studio album from 4-piece indie rock band from Wakefield, West Yorkshire .In 2008, Q magazine described the band as "The biggest cult band in the UK".

The first Cribs record to feature the lead guitar playing of former Smith Johnny Marr alongside the three redoubtable Jarman brothers, Ignore The Ignorant balances a slightly fuller sound with the familiar choppy riffs and rabble-rousing choruses of old. To suggest the Cribs’ fourth long-player has brought a new maturity to their sound would be to threaten the worst--after all, a good deal of the appeal of songs like "We Were Aborted" and the souped-up Sonic Youth clatter of "City Of Bugs" lies in their wide-eyed juvenilia and barely-contained bursts of guitar dissonance. But it’s true that some of the finest moments here find The Cribs showing off a newly nuanced, reflective side. "Last Year’s Snow" is a wistful number that sees a cracked-voiced Ryan Jarman imploring "I want to think you won’t/Remember me like last year’s snow" over a sparkling Marr lead, while the title track balances romping drums and reverb-soaked guitars with a passionate and heartfelt anti-racist message that sees the band nail their colours to the mast with style.
