London...and Happy 4th of July!

Hello from London,
It is so amazing to be here in London again and to be working on such an exciting project, the Live Earth Concert. Today is our second day of rehearsal and I can’t reveal all of the surprises of our performance but I can say that we are all so happy to be together and there is a great spirit in the air that is greater than us all. We have come together to make a difference and help people realize what we need to do to help our Mother Earth and all of life on this planet and stop Global warming. Ugh, I am so jet lagged right now but I’ll be rocking the house at Wembley Stadium with Madonna Saturday night and hangin with Al Gore backstage of course!!! I am blogging the whole week so I will have the whole story of my adventure up on the net next weekend for you to read. It has been raining since I arrived Sunday night. We started to rehearse Monday so I have been inside the rehearsal studio most of the time, listening to the rain when the music stops. Just one week to put this whole thing together. It’s great to have everyone back from the tour. Will you be at a Party watching the show on Saturday night? Okay.... now I’m getting excited. Rehearsals have been outrageous already.... The music is outta hand this time (you knew it would be! [whispered: she really is amazing, y’all]). Just sounds great and wild and full of impact. Folks will be moved. I’m moved.... All this sweating and smiling I’m doing proves it to me! --Looks to be a very powerful time; I can hardly wait for people to check this out. Time to make some changes on our little funky planet, you know? Maybe more folks will jump on board and become more aware & proactive because of this fine thing we’re out here doing. I hope so. We’ve got too many things yet to do here on this marble! You should see me, turning lights off in my hotel room.... Hey, I wanna be a little bit more conscious and do what I can & sometimes the little things can make a big difference. Seriously!
London is rainy and there is so much tea.... thank goodness for tea in the fight against jetlag. We’re having an incredible reunion here. Everyone is light and the good vibes are flying high. Joking, reminiscing.... We’re all so glad to be here doing what we do, doing what we can. DelRoy and I are closer than ever, bonding over everything from designer clothes and road stories to well-being, the importance of family/home life and the climate crisis....
And as for the boys... well, let’s just say they taught this petite flower a few new indecent, unmentionable terms!!! LOL... QUITE an education afforded me compliments of my bad boys... Monte and his new Pal (his beard) are all anyone can talk about. Marcus, Steve and Stuart are their usual, jolly, jokester selves. I really do love this mess of folks. Only a few more days of this intense and fleeting joy. Guess I had better roll around in it good!!

'UK 8020' nevladina organizacija u sklopu programa 'Climate Change Challenge' će 12.7. u hotelu 'Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park Hotel' pokušati prikupiti sredstva za britanske umirovljenike. 30,000 umirovljenika umire svake godine u Velikoj Britaniji jer nisu u stanju da prežive zimu. Ova ista organizacija s programom pod nazivom 'Pledge4REG' se bori za čak 4 milijuna Britanaca koji žive ekstremno siromašno.

Osnivač 'UK8020 Robert' Lee je rekao: "Zadovoljni smo odazivu, sjajnom energijom i organizacijom koja je uvjerila Madonnu da nam se pridruži samo nakon par dana nakon poziva."
