I am truly sorry to see the blog closed. Not only has it been a great introduction to all types of acoustic blues but it has also provided insightful and ample information regarding the artists, their music, and the many styles of blues. It is one of only four or five blues blogs about which I know that does justice to the music and those who play it. I hope at some point you reconsider; however, in the interim I will be listening to all that you have provided and, having been a follower since the RIver Club days, am both grateful and thankful that you and your colleagues kept at it as long as you did. Of course, one of the great ironies is that you, Gerard, and others from other countries have provided so much information about a music that still receives insufficient recognition in in its country of origin in which I live. Best of luck in whatever future endeavors you choose to pursue.

This is one of my top 5 blogs, which I visit several times a week. I've downloaded some great music from here, and your insightful articles are appreciated also. Hope you might return to this blog at some time. In the meantime, I hope the blog remains online as an archive - it provides a veritable treasure trove of rare and great blues and folk music. I particularly enjoy the old pre-WWII recordings. Very best wishes to you.
