They then amazingly fast - only 5 milliseconds - pass time. And finally, another 80 milliseconds, they are waiting on the other end of the pores, before moving into the cytoplasm.
Waiting period and that 10 percent of mRNA molecules remain at the nuclear pores, waiting for access, within seconds, suggesting that at this point, the mRNA being tested for quality.
