Canadian researchers examined the brain active GPS-users using magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). It turned out that when a person tries to find his way on the map or the description, some parts of his brain - in particular the hippocampus - are active, there is improved blood circulation. People who often sit and enjoy the navigators, the hippocampus has signs of atrophy, gray matter there is less than the first group. With age, it can cause problems with memory, in particular, such phenomena - a risk factor for Alzheimer's disease.
