Anke Mulder collected and analyzed particles formed during the reaction, the assembly of the ribosome. To finally get the image of the molecules, scientists have processed over one million obtained with an electron microscope image assembly, they created using the computational algorithm.
They got the images from which you can compose, as from pieces of the puzzle of the ribosome. It was a convincing proof of the consistency of their methods. "Regardless of how the processed data, we have always seen the same thing, and it made us believe that everything happens just so," - says Williamson.
