    Now - real haiku, you say ... what kind of real? Welcome to the 21st century my child! The "modern" stream in native Japan is faaar more un-real than this. Veeery un-real. I try to strike a middle path ... in Western haiku circles, there is far too much around of the "real" stuff: alas if it is not of the best kind (not many such around I assure you) then it sucks, oh how it sucks! My, am I blissful, what with you appearing here, what with a zd-provided glass of bambus, of which half is sliding pleasantly down my gullet as I speak ... cheers my sweetie!

    Wish I were bambusing as well! We're one hour behind here, you know ;) In any case, just call me 18th century Moose but I'm afraid not much will dissuade me from the notion that the rules of poetry were invented for a reason. I'm sure you've heard this one before. At the very least, if you wish not to adhere, perhaps call it something else?? Like free verse? After all, you wouldn't call an unrhymed poem of five lines and ottava rima, would you? And yes, I do come and visit, very regularly... being quiet doesn't mean I don't see :)

    I guess we're both pretty entrenched in our views on this matter.... I wonder what other people think? Bearing in mind I'm fully aware of how devoted an audience it is here, that's a bold question indeed... with STILL alas all the madness of sobriety! The floor is open.

    Od jednog, naoko običnog pitanja, naša je haiku poetesa, evo, sazdala jedan mali, ustvrdili bismo, poetski monumentum, zagledavši se u ružu blještava mjesečeva sjaja. Udahnuvši joj osobine Božjega stvorenja, u čijem je cvatu toliko neodoljivog i zamamnog, da autorica i nas, pridošle, dovodi do zenita iskušenja pitanjem: «tko bi ti / odolio, mjesečinom / napojena ružo» (?) A na koje pak pitanje nemaju što reći jedino oni koji se nisu imali sreće, poput nas, popeti na mjesečev i ružin očaravajući breg, nego su, nesretnici, ostali duboko u dolini među zgaženim travama …
