I slump, therefore, back on the chair. I did not get myself out cheaply. But curiosity to see what the psychotherapeutic procedure looks like through my own eyes finally prevailed over the momentary panic.
Still, for obvious reasons I will not write about that. Above all, the affair is completely confidential, just between me and Dr N. Not even my dearest will know, or at least not immediately, everything that was said, nor my closest friends. Apart from that, it is work in progress, and it would be able before the shaft only harm. Thirdly, and not the least importantly, I don’t want to devalue the serious doctor’s work by turning it into a circus attraction in a public place. Some criteria still always need respecting!
What I can say is that it all seemed like a very unbiased chat, somewhat odd because it is not between friends. In the end I noticed that while he ably and inconspicuously manage the chat, I still had to give N credit for that. To myself, of course. My old mantra “cooperate, just cooperate” lost the shadow of horror and turned into a goodwill of curiosity and expectation of new sequels. The pain and awkwardness already mentioned from the reduction of my drug dose disappeared completely and finally I began again to feel – I am alive!
And I think that there is no better beginning than this for a man to return afresh to life.
