I wanted this to look interesting when worn since it was not simply a chain on which to hang the ring. I also wanted the ring to be fully visible when held in place. I had considered a locket-type piece with a lid that would hide the ring entirely but ultimately found this more intriguing.

This is the back of the pendant and in this view you can see the second magnet and get a better sense of how the piece works.
I like figuring out the mechanics of a piece, but it is always an added bonus when the mechanics add to the overall aesthetic.
Overall, I am very, very happy with how this piece turned out.
