She was just an old spinster, very modest but perceptive and not a flamboyant personality, who acted as a detective just by virtue of taking thought.

Deeds, not words shall speak me.
The faceless, eyeless armed man above me kept his gun very level.
Ask not what you can do for your country. Ask what's for lunch.
Always be nice to those younger than you, because they are the ones who will be writing about you.
See things as they are and write about them. Don?t waste your creative energy trying to make things up. Even if you are writing fiction, write the things you see and know.
A poem is no place for an idea.
I daresay one profits more by the mistakes one makes off one's own bat than by doing the right thing on somebody's else advice.
