Singapore - I'm back!

subota, 22.04.2017.

So, finally I moved to Singapore - again. Hopefully, this time forever. I mean, Europe is nice - for being a tourist. Especially Croatia. It's great to come for a week in Croatia, travel and enjoy. But to live there - not for me, really.

I'm still a bit jet lagged but I'm going out nevertheless. I want to see what has change since my last trip last year. Last time when I was here, I wasn't at a happy place really. My father just died and I felt so meaningless, so stupid. I lost a part of myself back then and couldn't really enjoy in life. I'm not in grief anymore, I still miss him and talk to him often. However, now I know that I can do anything with my life as long as I'm healthy and happy.

So, back on the track. Singapore Airlines is definitely one of the best airlines ever - especially their business class. I simply adore it and I always get great night sleep so the jet lag lasts for less than a day :).

And what I like the most is - of course the weather - ok, it IS humid but it's warm and you can wear sandals all year long (isn't that fantastic?).

Mango sandals and Zara ripped jeans

Yesterday I went to Lau Pa Sat, the biggest hawker center in Singapore. It's pretty touristic place but we had guests from Croatia who were first time here so we wanted to show them the real meaning of the term 'street food'. Satays and shrimps are the must and ofcourse - Tiger beer, Singapore Lager. It's actually just an ordinary beer and there are so much more but - for the first time let them try it :)

And even though this is supposed to be a fashion blog, it's impossible for a great foodie as myself not to share these views. Enjoy

Jeff Koons & Louis Vuitton anyone?

srijeda, 12.04.2017.

Since Marc Jacobs enlisted Stephen Sprouse to create the now-iconic graffiti range in 2001, Louis Vuitton has led the way in the fashion/art collaboration stakes. And the latest creative given free rein on the brand’s accessories is seminal American Pop artist Jeff Koons.

How do you like it?

Working space...

Last day in Ljubljana. Feel kind of sorry. I love this little city. Today is Open Kitchen time so hopefully I'll enjoy myself :)

Zagreb Combination

Have to go to Zagreb to rent a car. I guessed, since Zagreb airport is the airpot of my departure - it's easier (and cheaper) to rent a car there. And I also have some luggage to carry so I hope I'll get something bigger.

This is my combo for today :D

Yesterday was really great day. Unfortunately I discovered a great wine bar just before me leaving Ljubljana. However, if you guys find yourself there, don't forget to grab some tapas and wine in TaBar . They have great selection of Slovenian wines that are just too good to be true.

Today's Combo

utorak, 04.04.2017.

Today is pretty cold (last few days were around 20-23 C) so I guess I have to cover myself a bit. I'm going to the '500 Women Enterpreneurs Conference' as my girlfriends are speakers. Afterwards I'm hoping to grab some wine :)

If Marlene lived in 2017

When I was a teen, I always laughed at my mom's or my aunt's photos from the 80's. They all wore padded shoulders, trench coats, balloon dresses - and perm ofcourse. Well, now when I look at it - I feel pretty sorry they didn't keep it (clothes, not the perm, thank you). It is true what they say - everything comes back in circles - even the fashion.

Nowadays fashion seems to be some kind of a mix where Postwar meets 60's Psychedelia meets Johnny Rotten meets Lady Diana meets new Diesel campaign.

However, one thing is the same - his majesty (or maybe HER majesty) Trench Coat. I would always invest in one classic item as is Burberry's and then maybe in one of its crazier cousins. The thing is, whether you decide to combine it with a business suit or ripped jeans - it will always look somewhat classy.

I guess we all have seen Marlene Dietrich in "Foreign Affair" where she rocks her post - World War II trench looking tough but somewhat fragile in the same time. Believe it or not, this look is timeless:

Burberry Tropical Gabardine Trench Coat

Zara Floral Print Flowing Dress

Chanel Slingback Shoe

Today, most of the high street as well as couture brands are having a trench as one of their leading clothing piece:

Mango

Chloe

Diesel

Topshop

Rochas

Duck in a skinny jeans

I may be one of the most picky people when it comes to style. Ofcourse, I'm never thin enough, my boobs are always too big (as is my tummy), my legs... ok, I love my legs but you get what I mean. Therefore it's hard for me to find something that I really like wearing - and when I do I tend to stick on it. That's why I'm trying to find some unusual pieces that can be combined in different ways.

Whenever I'm shopping for trendy clothes - I tend to go cheap. If it's something that I think it'll be long-lasting - I like to invest. Howevever, I would like to look like one of those women who can pull up a trash bag and still look stylish. Somewhat like Amal. Instead I'm more like Amy Schumer - silly funny and, somewhat cute (at least I hope so).

Last two days I've spent in Belgrade, Serbia. I didn't know where to look because there were so many great looking girls and women. They all look similar like Croatian women - like they have a lot of money and they actually care much about the way they look. They are naturally beautiful (ofcourse, I'm not talking about 'starlets' who ruined their cute faces and bodies with huge amount of botox, silicone etc.) and thin. I looked like a walking duck in a skinny jeans. Oh well.

That's why I decided my next buy will be wide leg trousers that are hugely popular this spring/summer. Here are some of my picks:

Very wearable in most combinations:

A bit unusual cut but very interesting (and ASOS has a great sale now):

Or if you prefer jeans:

As I look at it, I imagine combining it with some platform heels or regular trainers. But that's for another mall visit :)
